Fashion, Make-up, Style, Design, and Decorating

Things like fashion and shopping that tend to be rather superficial, are not things that I generally list as "interests"- well, I can see design and decorating, but I have to admit that I am way more interested in fashion than most poeple I know. Not that i AM fashionable anymore, I'm actually kind of a slob. but I love make-over shows -especially- "what not to wear" even while I decry such superficiality.:) Philisophically, I lean towards anti-consumerism and I really believe that it's what's on the inside that matters. I get annoyed by fashion people saying that something like a certain color is "important" this year. I know that fashion is not really "important." but it has an undeniable facination for me.

So, all of you serious, scholarly writer types-
What are your "frivolous pursuits"

I do love clothes and dressing up, and especially, costumes. I spend more time on the clothes that I will hardly ever wear...

Makeup. I just got a whole set of Bare Minerals, and I soooo love it. All of it. Every time I open up the handy-dandy bag that came with it that holds all the brushes and little pots, I feel like an artist. My face is my canvas.:D

Video games and pro wrestling.

...I'm a nerd.

But hey, I grew up on the stuff. I can't help but appreciate a good video game, and I've been raised on wrestling since the day I was born.

Writing fiction. It's the black hole of time. That, and also this forum.
