What really gets me, is you establish a chat with someone and then they would like a picture. Once they see the photo, if a person is the wrong race, or skin color, or too tall, or too short, or too thin.....

Then all of a sudden you're not good enough.. although before the picture was shown, everything was ok.

Then comes the bullshit "oh... I too straight" or.. I'm happy and don't know why" or someother bullshit...

It really sucks... and I don't understand what is wrong.. I thought this stuff was overwith ....

well those are shallow people darlin . you just have to overlook them

dont ya just love the way "darlin" sounded... :)

Sorry to hear about that happening to you. Unfortunately, some poeple are extremely shallow but the good thing is you found out before things went further.

Thank you

You know... I'm a grown man.. things went wrong at work.. then this.... it just really struck a wrong nerve...

I can handle the truth... I'm old enough now that I really don't give a crap what people think... it just really hit wrong today..

But thank you all for the encouraging words...

I like pics of the people I chat with but dont care much on looks,
The getting to know each other that chat allows is what I really love....... but have had the same experience as you a few times, they arent worth me getting upset about if they are that shallow.

I'm sorry hon....
same thing happened to me, only it was meeting someone in person for a non-sexual encounter. He had seen a picture but once he got to the hotel lobby, he sent me a text message saying I was too "big" (i.e. fat) and I didnt tell him....and yes, i DID send a picture and no I'm not huge. Remember, I hadnt seen him in person....and this wasnt a date....

some people just aren't comfortable enough with themselves to handle the unknown, I guess. This was a grown man who did this to me, not a kid. I tried not to let it bother me, but the truth is it ruined my night in a fabulous city - i was stood up and had no alternate plans. He wasn't even matutre enough to pretend that i was OK, which is pathetic considering I was never going to see him again...AND I give a wicked blow job! lol

you'll be ok hon....just know not everyone is like that.

cute, hot looking

Part of the maturing process is seeing past the cover, then
getting inside to enjoy the real person.

Reminds me of a few young ladies I know who are going to vote for a candidate because they are cute or charismatic or hot
looking.

there are hot young candidates?
My job is in politics (sorta) and I dont see anyone good looking...wait no - the Heinz boys are fuckable...

damn, sorry this happened to you,he was a jackass anyway:),ever come to fla,let me make it up to you:)

I have had that happen and then you have the players. The ones that act all interested and talk a good game until it comes to the actual meeting. They will either postpone it time and again because of various reasons or just stop talking to you altogether. I have had that one happen more times than I care to count.

Thanks All

I see the sentiment is there that there are a lot of good ladies.... and men out there...

And surprising.. the sentiment of those from the south...

Times are changing... and for the better....

I just want to chat and write to ladies... and have an enjoyable time....

It wasn't like I was asking marriage.. or dating.....

Just some fantasies...

Thanks for all your comments...

I have met a lot of people on here that seem to be less shallow than people I meet out in my day to day life. I can't help but wonder if they are like that away from the security of their computers. I would like to think so.

I would hope so.... I've seen there are so real nice ladies here... and that all I was looking for.....

Seriously, sometimes people who are talking online tend to forget that the other person is just that, a person. I've had it happen to me alot of times, mostly people accusing me of lieing about how old I was, even though I do tell them that I have abit of a baby face. Some people need to grow the hell up before they talk to people.
