I'm currently watching "the Kitch'n" on Food Network, and having a thought. I know, you're thinking I'm gonna be talking about food, huh? Well, not necessarily. My thought is about Friendsgiving and I wondered if that would make an engaging thread to talk about at Lit. Because, you know, even if I'm not here I still think about my friends I've made here.

So, the purpose of this thread is multifaceted.
~You can share a thought about what you'd bring to a Friendsgiving event. If you love to cook, share a food item. If you love to celebrate, share your favorite bottle of wine.
~Share who you'd be sure to invite. If you don't want to turn this into a popularity contest you can always just invite the person above you. I know how popular those threads are with everyone. lol :D
~Also appropriate for the thread would be a beautiful pic that reminds you of friendship or being thankful.
~And, I think everyone knows I love to listen to the audio messages here, so a greeting to your friends using one of those would be fine posted here as well.

In case you aren't familiar with the concept, here is the definition of a Friendsgiving:
Friendsgiving
The celebration of Thanksgiving dinner with your friends. This usually occurs on the Wednesday before or the Friday after Thanksgiving Day, since Thanksgiving is usually reserved for family gatherings.

I think it's better to do this the Saturday before, and try some new things instead of the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but hey, that's just one opinion. Go ahead and chime in with your own thoughts.

I’ll bring cranberry relish. It’s delicious. It has a little kick because the recipe calls for Serrano chilies. It’s always a favorite at my Friendsgiving celebrations.

that looks delicious!

I'm diggin up all my best GFs (Aussie! SMN! Suuuuuuz! Where the hell are you girls cmon its time to party!) and bringing my mama's Hot Curried Fruit. She was born in Trinidad and grew up in Venezuela. Holiday fare at my house growing up always had a bit of a twist to it :)

I can bring some Trinidadian Hotsauce too-- that graces our table at every holiday meal.

a great time to introduce new things. I bet they'll love it and appreciate your efforts.

I love this idea. I have made some great friends here.

I would bring the pie.

I would invite everyone who has stopped by the Cove....at any time.

Yup...everyone. Honest.
If you are inviting that many people, I think you better bring a bunch of those pies. :D
