I kinda had a similar experience. My mom was very religious and had devout friends. One friend had a daughter a few years older than me who had just come back to the church after running wild.

One day I bought an adult mag and the daughter was in one of the pictorials. I never said anything, she was out of high school and I was in 7th or 8th grade.

I have thought I have recognized fairly conservative people in some "interesting" videos shall we say...

But that leads to three issues:

1. There are a lot of people that have look-alikes out there

2. I will think someone looks exactly like someone and my wife disagrees and thinks I am crazy

3. How do you bring that up in conversation. "Hey, did you make your own porn video and put it on the internet?" That says almost as much about you, as it does about them!

The latter is why I often thought it was interesting how people are afraid to show their face. It is not like your pastor is going to admit he recognized you on an adult only website! (LOL)

Until now. All you need is someone with access to the right "deepfake" software. It's not common yet, but it will be...

Objectively, your wife is probably right... That said, there's a lot of "close enough" out there, where if you squint, it could be true. Likely an extension of confirmation bias when amplified by other excitement factors (you know, like, boobs).

That seems to be the case with some of the "Before-and-After" or "Dressed-to-Undressed" porn that's out there.

Another variation:

Narrator is living in the guest home in back of his parents' house. Early 20s.

New neighbor moves in next door to parents -- hot older woman. She and his mom are both part of the same conservative church and become friends. The new lady has a daughter who has the hots for the narrator, but the narrator isn't interested in the daughter. Kind of a Stacy's Mom situation.

Eventually he recognizes the mom from porn videos she made 20 years earlier, that he's seen on the Internet and that he used to get off to.

He messes with her -- going over to her house and finding ways to duplicate the scenarios in the videos (pool boy, handyman, etc.) until she finally understands that he knows.

You could do it as a blackmail story, but I think it would be hotter as a seduction story. Even though on the surface she looks like a prim and proper suburban mom, inside she's still the hot, sexed-up porn star and he wants to bring it out of her. She's divorced and horny. So they start getting it on while trying to hide everything from her daughter, his mom, and the neighborhood and church community.

2. Same thing happens with my wife and I. Usually on TV. I'll recognize someone on a show or commercial and say they played a major character on another show we watched. She'll say it's not. A quick IMDB search usually proves I'm right.

Could that happen in more compromising situations? Less likely, as now there's more to go on, but it could happen.
