Fresh Stories idea

I'd like some way to know which threads in a story are new, or at least the date the thread was created in the Story Map.

It's frustrating to see that a story is now Fresh without knowing where to look at the latest threads. In the stories I'm most interested in, I've read most of the threads.

Im not sure but I think a new thread comes up as having a red circle on the story map page. I could be wrong though.

True, dacia. red circles are new additions. I'm not sure what this period is for, until approved, 24 hrs....I'm sure somebody will have a better idea. Checking the fresh stories list more often recently, *wink wink DJ * I do know there can be more than one, so it is not merely the most recent addition.. just one more of the mysteries of chyoo2

They don't last long only a day or so. If you don't check regularly they are gone. It seems like they ought to stay until you look at the story again. I don't know if that is possible, but it is handy.

New threads

I always go straight to advanced search, switch to "show results as threads" and let it search. That way, you can go directly to the new threads - and if you want to see the whole story, that´s what story map is for.

The red circles don't even stay up for more than a few hours. Which is a shame, as they're of help only if you stumble upon the story very, very shortly after it has been updated.

That would seem to make sense, but it seems like I have been away for a few days sometimes and there are no red circles on what I know are new addtions when I return. I will have to experiment and see if it works like you suggest.

Again wouldn't be great if someone would just post some basic explainations of how the site works!!

Summer Down Under has beening having a swell of interest as of late. Reader and writterships are up. Votes are coming in thickly. It was rated number 1 for a short while with a 4.5 but thats slide back to a 4.3 now. I also checked the monthly views and it has been read forty more times this month that my other story The Choices We Make. I'm pretty much over the moon about it!!!

If it helps, the recent thread votes were all positive and some recent feedback from earlier 'competition' threads were as well, that's why I was surprised the vote actually dropped a tenth overall since those were tallied. More mysteries of chyoo2.

Just be careful you don't call out the wrong name in the throes of passion.

With regards to calling out the wrong name in bed I havnt done that as I usally call people by nicknames when I'm going out with them. Things like Boff, Bambina and the like. If I do happen to say the wrong name it isnt the persons real name so Dacia effectively stays out of trouble. (Well as much trouble as Dacia can stay out of anyway.)

My third story is just five threads away from getting released. I'm on 144 at the moment and I will submitt it as number 150.

Wrong name in bed

I also don't use names during sex, usually not even nicknames, unless it's generic ones, like 'sweetie', 'lover', 'honey', etc. Pet names are out because the wrong pet name would also be trouble. Whoa!

In non-intimate situations, G. often calls me her ex's name when referring to me in the third person to someone else (or anyone else's name that happens to be in the room). It's a cute quirk.

Bed Names.

Hey all,
well as some of you already know, I am married. So, the only name I am calling out in bed is always the same one. Been married 2 1/2 years now and the sex is still amazing. The only time I use other names when we're in bed is if I am telling a story. Once in a while I'll tell a little sex story, lucky for me... it usually involves me, my wife and another woman. As far as a real 3sum goes.. well I am still barking up that tree. lol.

And Dacia, I almost pissed my pants at the nickname Bambino! HA!

Yes, it's much easier to remember to say one name if you've been married for awhile. But I had been married for nine years, and then had a series of 3 girlfriends. I certainly didn't want to call any of them my ex's name.

And now that I'm in a triad, I don't want to call one of my partners the wrong name.

I got Bambino as it the masculine form of baby in Italian. Bambina is the femine. So it's good for guys and girls.
