Low bush, my faves. Real Maple Syrup. Yum.

Starbucks French Roast coffee in a Bodum and the Saturday Globe & Mail.

Adirondack chairs on the deck.

Loons, ducks, woodpeckers, jays and hummingbirds galore.

When the kids and their beaus arrive, swimming, canoeing and fun with the ski-tube.

I love El Nino extended summer days at the lake.

It's already 25c...gorgeous.

Aw, look at the groveller trying to convince Lit he has people coming over. Isn't that sweet?

See that thing up the the sky, sean? It's called the sun.

Ooops, sorry....no PlayStation here.

Maybe if you save up long enough, you'll be able to afford a second hand console, groveller. Or maybe start a GoFundMe page?

I don't like pancakes, but fresh blueberries enhance just about everything. Lemon blueberry smoothies are delectable.

Thanks; I have one at home, just not at the lake. PS4, i think.

I don't use it much, just for GranTurismo.

Those fantasy games are for pasty-skinned losers.

Agreed; blueberries, especially the fresh ones, are wonderful to have around. Versatile little fruits!

It's OK, groveller, I'm sure you could get someone to explain the complexity to you. In small words.

I've always hated blueberries. Some say it's only because I haven't found the right one.

I don't care much for blueberries... or any berries actually. I need more zip in my foodstuffs.

This is familiar. I thought I hated them when all I knew were the thicker skinned grocery store varieties. It was the texture I found so displeasing. If you've a farmers market or cooperative near you, you could seek out different varieties to see if your dislike is of the typical grocer's berries. Where I live, self pick farms open every summer and you can pick and buy by the pound. Some of the farms have dozens of varieties. When I find a variety I like, I buy the bush and plant it in my yard so I know it is a type I will like. Cuts out the grocery store yuck berries.

I think I'll make that tomorrow...thanks & cheers.

I am a subscriber to Cooking Light and I feel like a traitor to good health suggesting this, but I serve mine with a plop of creme fraiche. A small plop, mind you, but it adds a creaminess and a tang that is so pleasant.

Exactly. I've always found them a bit bland.

I actually remember once being surprised by a "zingy" tasting blueberry. Maybe organic? I didn't realize there are lots of different types. Thanks for the tip.

There are hundreds of different kinds, isn't that surprising?

Grocery stores have ruined the produce experience for so many people. If only grocery stores carried five varieties of a fruit or berry instead of just one.

Lance would enjoy this recipe much more And for Eve, some ZING!

Lance being a old man with presumably some grand babies trolling engaged couples all day and night on the Lit is funny. Not funny "ha-ha", though.

I wonder if he'll talk about the importance of rape as fantasy with his dear ol' kids over these blueberry hotcakes. I know he's mentioned an adult daughter once, so of course advice from dear old daddykins to enhance happy times in the sack will be much appreciated from at least one nut squirt.

Much like the taste of low bush blueberries and maple syrup. Yum.

Blueberry pancakes are okay, but blueberries are better used in a butterscotch blueberry pie.
