You might be clicking...
...your mouse too much/fast. Sometimes we work a little faster than the machines (especially if it's downloading) and a couple of innocent clicks on the mouse can give the CPU a command conflict which it can't solve and so freezes. It's really in a loop trying to find a way out but the door is locked...
