HELP WANTED sign in the local 'Firewater' tavern.

Seeking 8-10 travelers of random races and skills to quest with. All supplies, room and board will be paid, along with good pay.

Outside the tavern a dusty road called 'Northgate' goes north leading to the northgate of Freeport, and south leading into the town center.

Along the road there are several shops. There is a general store right next to the 'Firewater' tavern and a Boarding House right across the street. There is a Jeweller Shop next to the Boarding House. A clothing shop called 'Mellina's Needles' is across the street from the Jeweller's. There is a Bakery next to the clothing shop and it's called 'Freena's Baking'. A nice meat and trail store called 'Jaxs' is across the street.

The road widens into the square of the town center. A large clear fountain gurgles and spouts out of a hollow glass ball. As if magic it empties and fills over and over.

Many people are always putting on little side shows. and peddling home-made goods.

Looking around there are roads in 3 more directions. South to the southgate on a road called 'Southgate'. To the East on 'Warriors Way' and to the West on 'Deity Prayers'.

Down 'Southgate' another tavern called 'Blue's Ale' is on the right and a supply store called 'Travellers Goods' is on the left. Next to 'Blue's Ale' is a small magic shop, 'Coven'. Across from 'Coven' is the nicest little bank. It's very busy, for it has a changer, and also houses the local bounty office. Next to the bank is a stable called ' Hooves'. Across the road is a 'bathing house and brothel' called ' Maise Jannett'. The widow Fae owns it.

East on 'Warriors Way' there is a Blacksmith to the north called 'Anvil' and an Armorer called 'Shields Worth'. Next to the blacksmith is a shop full of different armor. It's called 'Green as Gold'. Across the street is a decent weapon shop that carries alot of exotic items. 'Melee 'n Blood' it's called. A map shop is right next to the weapon shop. A practice and training building is across the street. At the end of the road is a little bar open only to members, called 'Loner.

West of the town center is 'Deity Prayers'. There are 4 open temples. Anyone may visit these and plead for help, give praise, and take deep thought on their world. At the end of the road there is a temple Donation building. Two rooms are connected to this building to the north a Study and Chant room, to the south a herb and apothacery, run by the temple priest.

Narration

Sitting in the back of the 'Firewater Tavern', hiding in the shadows out of view. Sipping on a strong brew of herbs and staring at the bar. A barmaid moves around to the tables and fills drinks. Upstairs the noise of rowdy couples and drunks romping can be heard. A faint chatter moves with the breeze as people move along the street.

Adraste Pharyen

Adraste makes her way from the town center, where she was plying her trade. Flinching jewels & coins from the spectators there to watching the shows. She never took from thoses, who could not live without it. Her motto was ~Take from the rich & give to the poorer, perferably myself.~

She heads on to Freena's Baking to pick up some meat pies & treats for the lil ones of the city. She count the coins that have been gather today, 4 gold, 2 silver & a copper. She sighs. 'The picking have been getting slimer & slimer for weeks now. I might even have to go looking for legit work.' She thought. After a bit of haggling, she manages to get 6 pies for the price of 3 & still have enough for a hot meal & cold drink from Firewater's.

As she heads out the door a dozen rugrats mob her. "Did you remember yer promise Addy?" One of the younger boys cried. She ruffles his hair. "Of course I did tike." Ad passes out the pies breaking them evenly so everyone had a piece. The children run off as they are given thier piece.

"Ye be spoilin' 'em Addy." A voice called from the barkery. She turns to Freena. "Of course I do. I was once like them." She gestures. "If I didn't do it, you would. Where would yer business be if ye did that, Freena." She comes out & give Ad a hug. "Ye can't save 'em all." Looking up & pats the baker's hand, "But I can sure try. Shade & sweet water to ye, I'll see ye tomorrow." Freena nods, "Aye, shade & sweet water."

Ad makes her way to Firewater, scans the place as she enters. It's the typical crowd for that time of the day. 'I might as well check the board. Ta' see if there be any work.' She spots a new post. ~Seeking 8-10 travelers of random races and skills to quest with. All supplies, room and board will be paid, along with good pay.~ She makes an inquiry with the barkeep on who she should talk to.

Eladrel Daelon

Eladrel pulled his cowl down, trying to hide his brilliant eyes and silver hair, which amongst his human features would betray his half-elven blood. He had found through his adventuring days that people were nicer before they knew that he was one of the mixed-bloods.
"Excuse me, kind sir. Do you know of any nearby places where I could grab a bite to eat?" he asked, placing his hand on a man's arm. The man shook off the arm with a grunt, pointed down a street called 'Northgate'. With no further explanation, the man scurried off.
"Friendly folk, I see." Eladrel muttered under his breath, before making his way down the street the man had offered. After a few more questions and hasty answers, Eladrel finally found himself outside a decent-looking tavern. 'Firewater', the tavern sign said. He stepped inside, and was immediately assaulted by a wave of smell and noise. Not the most endearing of places, Eladrel thought, but as long as they sold food and water, perhaps even a sip of wine, he would be happy. He made his way towards a nearby unnocupied table, seating himself and calling over the barmaid. As she made her way across the room, he quickly re-arranged his sword and lute to make seating comfortable.

Fern Falconhand

It had been a long journey, the weather had been fair though allowing me to navigate for the most part unhindered by almost cloudless nights. The areas around Fairhaven had been riddled by undead, the work of some evil cleric who had set to creating an unholy army of zombies. For what purpose it was still unknown. I had spent a few days in the small village of Long Riding, helping some of the local people who had been attacked by some of these roaming corpses. In payment I had received good lodging with a local farmer and his family but I had other things to do and left them well rested and nourished.

Having crossed the plains to the north of Fairport and entering the more familiar woodlands of the dales I met with an old man travelling to Freeport. We set up a great report and he offered to give me a ride on his wagon.

Arriving at Freeport, we parted company and wished each other well. I wandered through the busy streets of this small town, the clanking of the blacksmith as he hammered out new shoes for the local farmers was a strangely comforting sound, his young apprentice, a boy of no more than 10 was busy working the bellows on the forge and the heat it produced flowed out into the street as I passed, small sparks and cinders rose around him as he worked and he constantly had to wipe his brow as the sweat ran down his well tanned face.

Around the corner from there I found the Tavern, I stood outside, peering through the window. I seemed like a homely place, certainly a center for evening entertainment I thought. A notice on the wall read

HELP WANTED sign in the local 'Firewater' tavern.

This looked promising, being short on money, the offer of food and lodging sounded like a good opportunity, at least until I found out more about my parents.

I entered the tavern, it was cool inside, and dim. The air had the malty smell of freashly brewed ale, and hops hung in bunches around the walls, carefully woven into the shapes of fans.

I walked over to the bar, and tapped the counter, attracting the attention of one of the serving maids.

'Hi, I said, 'I'd like a jug of mead if you have it, and perhaps some stew and bread', I was feeling very hungry and the smells eminating from the kitchen filled my nostils and started me salivating in anticipation.

I paid the girl and looked for a seat, preferably one from which I could see everything. I took up a table in the corner, and sat with my back to the wall, something I had been taught at an early age by my Grandmother. I studied the bar and its occupants and sipped at the mead, waiting for the maid to bring my food.

Narration

As people moved in and out of the tavern, Jeselynn watched for the ones to peak intrest in her HELP WANTED sign. A few had came in and looked at it..

Jeselynn

Sipping away at my herb tea, I notice a couple of intersted people.

Standing up I walk over to the bar, to the notice. Reaching through my cloak and into my belt pouch, I grasp a thick piece of paper.

Pulling it from the pouch I open it and glance over the words.

For all seeking to join the for-mentioned travelling group, please meet here at the 'Firewater' at 6 o'clock pm tomorrow evening.

With a pin I secured it to the first and moved back to my table to finish my tea.

Fledgrin Sorrow

Edge worked his way among those scattered throughout the streets. He had intended to arrive earlier than he had, but a few obstacles had kept him behind schedule, and now, slipping among those gathered here, he worked his way toward the town square. From where he stood, he could make out the fountain, spurting water that seemed to run out, then suddenly burst into the air again.
An interesting town, he thought.
He crept through the crowd, nearly bumping into a girl as she worked her way through, heading in another direction. He stepped aside, starting to apologize in a quiet voice, but she was already heading off, moving quickly away, He caught his own voice, then started moving again, noticing immediately something had changed.
He stopped, took a step, then pondered the difference. Something was missing, something he should have noticed. Another step, then he noticed it. A familiar jingling sound was no longer apparent.
He tucked his hand into his cloak pocket, found only one gold coin where there had been two.
Shit, he thought, she stole my money. He looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of her, but she was gone it seemed.
He shrugged. Oh well, it was gone. Time to deal. He slid the ring from his finger. Perhaps the town had a Jeweller's shop, to purchase a slightly used gold ring.
He inquired from an old lady where the shop might be and she pointed him down a street called 'Northgate.'
As he wandered toward the door to the Jeweller's shop, he glanced across the street to the bakery.
He stopped in his tracks, seeing the girl who'd taken his money handing out pies to the children. An odd thief, he thought, steals money to buy others pie?
HE was intrigued, and followed the girl as she made her way to the tavern. He stopped near the door and read the sign:
FIREWATER
He shrugged and made his way inside, seeing the girl at the bulletin board. After she'd walked away, he wandered over to see what she'd been reading.
"8-10 travellers...quest...supplies, oom and board...good pay..." He muttered as he read.
He decided to wait and see what might happen here. If he was to manage to find a place on this venture, he might want to be on good terms with this odd thief.
He wandered over to the counter and waved the attention of a bar maid.

Fern

A serving maid brings my food to me, 'Could you fetch me another Jar of mead', I ask her, passing my empty tankard to her as she arranges the bowl and basket of bread infront of me'

'O'course m'me' she replies politely and heads back to the bar.

The stew tastes good, 'My my', I think to myself, 'The way things are going I'll never want to face those iron rations.', I grimace as the tought of dried biscuits and cured meat strips enteres my mind.

Watching the people as I eat, I notice a solitary figure sitting at a table, he seems to be in contemplation, maybe thinking of food and drink maybe something else. Although his ears are not visible, his silver hair and fair complexion certainly gave a strong indication that he is either an elf or half elf.

As I watch from my dark corner I notice a woman get up from her table and walk to the bar, she pins some notice under the wanted poster and then resumes her seat drinking her steaming beverage. 'hmmm interesting' I think to myself, 'perhaps it is her that is hiring'.

I continue to eat my meal glancing occasionally in the direction of the bar to see who looks at it, My wait is long before it draws the attention of another customer'

'well, well', it does seem to be attracting some interest.

Waiting is wearing me out. Standing from the table and walking up the back staircase to the large room I had rented. The roomkeep greeted me and I handed him a small coin pouch and he walked away saying,' Your bath is ready down the hall and to the right', turning to face me he started again, ' your horse is taken care of and I will get the rest of the equipment on your list.'

He walked down the stairs and I walked into my room.

Picking up my small travel bag I turn and exit the room down the hall and open the small door on the right. Stepping in and closing the door, I drop my bag and remove my cloak, hang it on the hook next to the door and sit in the chair next to the tub.

Dipping my fingers in the water, I let the hot steamy water soak into my skin. Moving to untie my boots and set them on the floor standing up I untie my silk belt and remove my tunic. slipping into the bath I relax and wash off the last days dirt. summoning my bag I reach in and pull out a towel, lay it on the chair. Again reaching in adn pulling out a small amber bar of soap and lathering up. Soaping up I rinse the bar off and put it back in my bag. Splashy the water over my body to rinse off the rest of the soap. Standing up i grab the towle and dry off. Pulling on my boots and lacing them up I grab for a dark green silk tunic and pull it on, tying the black silk sash.

Placing everything inside the bag I walk to the door grab my cloak and place it over my shoulders. Pulling the hood over my braided hair I open the door and walk down the hall...

Fern

Finishing my meal I look up and watch the young woman who had posted the note rise for her table and leave the bar, heading towards the lodging quarters of the inn.

Seeing my opportunity to investigate the notice again and the addendum that had just been posted.

'Meet here tomorrow evening at 6pm, hmm', I think to myself, that gives me some time to get out and investigate this town a little.

I beckon to the Innkeeper as he returns from the corridor clutching a small leather purse. He looks at me as I speak to him.

'Yes, and how may I help you this fine day' , he says pleasantly.

I was just looking at this notice you have here on your wall, I was wondering, do you know what it is for, what sort of help is required?, I have just arrived in town so I really could do with some lodgings, this looks like it might be an opportunity that could interest me.'

'The young lady responsible for that is staying here', he replies, Her name is Jeselynn, you may have seen her in here earlier, she often stops by for a cup of herbal tea around this time of day

'Thank you, I think I did see her earlier', I answer, 'I really enjoyed the stew by the way', I say complimenting him on his fare, 'It so refreshing to get a wholesome meal, easpecially when you've been on the road for a while.'

I'm glad you enjoyed it., he laughed heartily and smiled, Be sure to tell all your friends

I laughed back acknowledging his subtle joke. I order a cool cordial drink, and wait for Jeselynn to reappear.

Perrin enters the town of Fairhaven through the Northgate. He has spent the last few months fighting with the polar bears at the glacier against the depredations of the evil walrus men. He has wearied of the company of only the bears and is looking forward to the company of other humans.

He slowly walks through the town, noticing the sideshows. He pays particular attention to the juggling , he wishes that he had that kind of dexterity with his hands. He is very hungry and looks for a tavern to take care of his needs. When he passes one of the taverns, he sees a help wanted sign out front.

It has been awhile since he journied with human companions and yearns for the more intimate conversations. Perrin enters the establishment and goes up to the bar. He orders a haunch of deer and some mead. He sits down at a table and starts to look at the fellow travelers in the tavern. He notices that more people are looking at the help wanted sign, seeing no familiar faces. He sits at his table and waits to see if a group starts to gather.

OOC: I can see that I will be outclassed by this group of posters, but what the heck , you only live once. Jesslyn can always kill my character off early if she gets annoyed at me anyway. lol

Fern

Whilst I wait for Jeselynn to appear, a tall, burly warrior enters the bar confidently walking up to the counter and orders food and drink. He takes a seat across th room from where I sit drinking his mead and waiting for his food order to arrive.

I notice him looking around the room, much as I had done earlier, guaging the other people present. His black hair and blue eyes a complelingly attractive sight I decide to break the ice and chance conversation.

I walk over to where he is sitting.

'Hey there, are you new in town?', I ask with a friendly smile.

Perrin sees a beautiful woman approach his table. "Yes, I am new to this town, I am recently gone from the icy north. Please sit down and join me, I am always in need of conversation. My name is Perrin. I came here to answere yon sign for adventurers. What might your name be?" Perrin orders another mug of mead and one for his lady companion.

Fern

'Nice to meet you Perrin', I reply after the warrior has finished introducing himself. I sit down opposite him as he beckons to the serving girl to fetch more drinks. 'Thank you, that's very gracious of you', I say to him and smile.

'My name is Fern, Fern Falconhand, and I just arrived here in town today too, my first time here, it seems like a nice enough place, I haven't seen any trouble yet and its unusual to find a town these days with so few militia patroling'

'I have travelled up from the south, I have to admit I prefer the warmer regions', I smile again, 'I have only ever been to the edge of the glacier once. Far too cold', I grimace and shiver.

The serving girl returns with the drinks and Perrin's food. I raise my jug, 'To good fortune', I say.

'You know I was looking at that sign too earlier, I think there is a young woman responsible for it, although I haven't spoken to her yet. Apparently she is staying here, or so the innkeeper says. I was thinking of signing up also, although I would like to find out a bit more about what is involved'

Perrin raises his glass "Ay, to good fortune" He takes a full swig of the brew, spilling some on his tunic. He quickly wipes it away hoping that she did not notice. "I would surely enjoy an adventure. It has been a long time since I have spent much time in the company of other men. It seems like a good offer, and I could use some extra supplies. It must be a dangerous adventure for so large a party needed. " He offers a piece of the haunch of deer to his tablemate. "I did not see the young lady in question. I will have to follow your lead. I am not the smartest man in the world, but I have a stong back and swordarm ; so I can be a value to a group of adventurers." Perrin drinks another long swallow of mead and smiles at his companion.

Fern

Perrin was clearly ravenous, he gulped his drink thirstily, too fast to swallow causing some to spill. Politely I disregard his table fashion, afterall there was a strange savagery in the way he pulled the meat from the bone he was chewing on.

He offered me a hunk. 'Oh no really it's ok, actually I had just finished my meal when you arrived', I said as politely as possible declining his generous offer.

I glanced around the room, 'You know I think you are right,', I say looking back at him as he chews away on the Deer meat, 'I thought it was a large party myself, I think I have only seen two other people look at the notice, other than yourself and me, since I've been in here. I guess there may be others though, it looks like the original notice has been up there a few days'

'You know I'm not much of a fighter myself, not unless I really have to, but I am pretty good with a bow, even if I do say so myself.', I blush with my immodesty.

Changing the subject I continue, 'Tell me more about the North, I have never been too far that way before, I hear there are strange animals there and bears with fur like snow that crouch down and spring out on unsuspecting travellers'

I take another drink and listen to him describe the northlands.

Perrin begins his tale about the northlands. He notices that she is not a very large person, but has the lithness of a panther. He feels a certain kinship with this young woman, and wants to use his strength to keep her safe. He makes his decision to join this group if she does. He notices that she has a gorgeous bow on her back and can well believe that she would be a tremendous archer with such a work of beauty as a weapon.

He is much more comfortable with his axe or claymore. He does not have the coordination to use a bow proficiently. He more trusts in the power of his mighty thews and the strength of his steel weapons. He scans the room, still not seeing much activity. He orders more mead to pass the time. "Madame Fern, would you like more mead?"

Fern

I listen to his tales of the Northlands with sincere interest. He pauses occasionally to take a drink or to cut another strip of meat.

'Oh no, no this must be my round', I say as he offers to by more drink,

I call the serving girl over and she recharges our glasses from a pitcher. I toss a couple of silver pieces on to the tray.

'You know I'll be tipsy before the sun falls. That's not good', I laugh. It felt good to laugh something I hadn't done in a long time, perhaps it was the effect of the drink, perhaps the company. I certainly felt at ease with this giant of a man.

'Perhaps we could take a look around the town later, if you've got nothing else planned', I say to him

Heading back down the hall and into the main bar I through my bag over my shoulder and head for the door.

Deep in thought: I must gather more for the trip. This is going to be a very long journy. I just hope I can find willing people to travel adn explore.

Pushing the doors open and heading south to the bank. Moving swiftly and barely noticing anyone without a magical presence.

Stopping abruptly at the fountain after seeing a strange aura.

Standing next to the gurgling spring a man has stopped to watch it for a minute.

Disreguarding it as being tired.. and continuing again. Comming to the Bank doors and going inside. A guard is standing in the corner and another next to the vault. magic spells and shields cover this place .. worse than a dragons' keep...

Going straight to the counter and looking for a short lithe faerie..
Placing a medalion on the counter, she pops out of thin air..

'greetings Jeselynn', she states with a sly grin. Back so soon.

I calmly say ' take me to my box.'
Leading the way she babbles about the extra security and the money it is costing her...

'your being paid fairly' i state.

reaching the end of the hall and passing through a magic barrier, she pull out half a key and i pull out the other. Chanting i meld the two pieces and place them in the keyhole. turning it is motion for her to leave.

As I pull the box out i detect my magic on and around the box.

reaching inside i grasp 4 palm sized pouches and 2 larger blue bags.

replacing the box and pulling the key apart i give both pieces to the faerie and she places on in her pocket and the other she pops off to hide. I place all 6 items in my bag and chant a protection spell and a false aura spell on it.

walking out the door and onto the street back to my room.

Stoping only to get a drink and give some bread to some kids.

entering the tavern I walk to my door and into my room.. locking the door behind.

Adraste Pharyen

As Ad talk to the bar keep about the poster of the sign, the hair on the back of her neck bothers her. It can only be one of two things someone following her or she is being watched. She turns to look at the patrons, as the bar keep sez, "The one you be looking for goes by the name of Jerelynn."

There is a male with Silvery hair, fairly well dressed, sitting by himself. A blonde female sits at a table with a good view of everything. Ad then sees him wandering toward the bar, a dark hair warrior, the last one she flinched from today. <Groan> "Just me luck." She mutters.

She sez in a louder voice, "Can ye point her out to me." The keep motions to the darkest corner of the tavern. Ad glances over, as the shadows moves & becomes a figure in a black cloak. It tacks an addition to the notice on the board & moves back to the shadows.

Ad orders up a meal & a mug of ale, then goes over to check out the addition to the post. ~For all seeking to join the for-mentioned travelling group, please meet here at the 'Firewater' at 6 o'clock pm tomorrow evening.~ <Sigh> She moves to a table that gives her an unobstructive view of the entrance, bar & stairs to the room above.

One of the barmaids brings her food & drink over. Eating slowly, she watches the comings & goings of the patrons of Firewater's for the evening. Since she will be needing some ready cash for tomorrow. She spills out her jewerly loot in her lap. Taking a jewelers glass from her pouch Ad checks each piece for its value. 'I might as well sell some of these & help Freena with the baking on the morrow.' She thinks, as she sorts what to sell now & what to keep.

Finishing up her meal, she heads on back to the bakery. Thru an alley, she slips inside the shop. Placing her belonging behind a loose stone near the grate. Ad finds a warm spot near the hearth to curl up to sleep. For tomorrow is another day.

Perrin says to Fern "Of course I will accompany you around the town if you would like. I have to go to the cobblers and get a new pair of boots, these old ones are too worn for a new adventure. Do you have any places in particular that you have needs to go to?" Perrin leaves some extra silver pieces on the table and leaves the tavern with Fern by his side.

Fern

'Well I guess we had better sort out your footwear first hadn't we', I say to Perrin, who, now standing dwarfs me with his height.

We leave the tavern heading up the street in search of a shoe maker.

'I've got to stop by the local Temple', I say to him as we round a corner, 'At some point today, it's been a while since I have been able to pay my proper respects as it were, and there are a few items I would like to get also'.

We find a cobbler, busy resoling pairs of shoes as we approach his storefront, he looks up.

'Ahhh good day young missy, and sir, what can Gerbout sell you from his fine selection of handcrafted footwear'. He smiles almost sincerely as I look over some of his handiwork.

Perrin looks at the selection before him, they are all too small. He asks the cobbler "Do you have any larger, I need ones at least 5 inches longer than the largest one that you have?"

Gerbout looks at the tall human "Nothing made yet, I can have it done for tommorrow morning if it suits you. " Perrin answers back "Ah, that should be fine, just make sure they are stout. We have a lot of traveling to do. How much do you charge for them?"

Gerbout scratches his head "Ten silver pieces will do for them."
"Ay," Perrin agrees "That will be fine, I will pay when I see them"

Perrin turns to Fern, "Now we shall go to the temple so you can get what you need. "

Edge

I sit and eat, not realizing just how hungry I was until I smelled the food beneath my nose. WHen the girl I'd followed in here leaves, I let her go, taking a loss of the coin. If she comes back, she comes back, if not, then she doesn't. I could make more gold, especially if this journey pans out in my favor.
I ate, and drank, noticing others checking out the update to the osting, and a new man enter and read it for himself. For a while, he sat with a woman and ate, then they left together.
After eating and drinking my fill, I checked the posting a last time, noting to be here again at 6 pm the next day, then exited and headed for the town's limits. A night in the woods, in the open, would do me good. I was used to those surroundings, and often found it hard to sleep otherwise.
I set up a small camp just outside of town, and settled in to rest.

Jeselynn

Sitting the afternoon away in my room. Only a small candle burning in the center. Maps spread all over the floor, studying and planning out the journey ahead.

Looking over the barkeep's notes for what he had completed.
Having planned for a larger group, I was having to adjust.

Looking again at the notes:

6 horses
food rations for 4 fortnights
water for 5 days
several various weapons

Several bedpacks, extra furs and wool blankets.

Stoping to look for the rivers and springs on the map...
Noticing a small camp-town of Orcs.

Joting down an alternate path if problems occur. Looking at the window and noticing the day has came and went and that it was nearly 9 o'clock pm. Standing up and streching, Picking up the maps and papers and placing them in a travel tube. I gather up my bags and start to double check their contents.

Seeing everything in it's place i gather them up and place them in the furthest corner from the door. Keeping ahold of one bag and heading for the door grab my cloak and swing it around me and on.

Stepping out the door and closing it, making sure to lock it tight.

Heading down the stairs and into the tavern. Sitting down on at the same dark table and motioning to the barmaid to come.

Ordering a dinner of bacon, eggs, toast and a kettle of hot water to make team.

She runs to the back and disappears for a while.

Sitting a candle on the table and lighting it. Only a little light seemed to come forth. Reaching into my pouch I pull out several silver coins and place them on the table.

'I'll probably be some time at the temple its a long time since I last had a chance to visit one. I find them great places to meditate, you'll probably get bored, besides it's getting late. How about I meet you later back at the inn, I still have to book a room for the evening and perhaps we might even bumbp into Jeselynn'

I turn and head off in the direction of the temples, I find a temple dedicated to Dionysus, which I find comfortable for my belief and enter. It is a oppulent building with irregular walls and arrangements inside. Lowering my head as I walk towards the altar I notice several other people mediating in dimly lit alcoves. There is a strong smell of incense, thick and heady almost intoxicating. A Cleric dressed in fine blue and red robes greets me.
'Welcome sister, the brotherhood of Dionysus welcomes distant travellers, come'

I follow him to an alcove where he provides me with a chalice of mulled wine and a tallow candle. I pass him 2 sp and nod to him acknowleding that all is well.

Leaving me to meditate I drink from the chalice and light my candle placing it in a small niche in the wall of the alcove.

After about an hour or so I rouse from my contemplations and rise. Walking from the alcove I return the chalice to the Cleric and as him if he can provide me with Holy Water. He provides me with 5 vials of the blessed water and make a donation of 20 sp to the temples coffer.

He bids me a safe journey and I return to the inn to make some sleeping arrangements for the evening, and keep my rendezvous with Perrin. I am interested to see is any other people have been looking at the notice and maybe meet some of them.

Walking into the inn I look around attempting to locate the large fighter..
