Freedumb

She had to die so the rest of us can live free. The Second Amendment demands it, and there's no alternative.

I just don't understand why people think more guns in this country equals more deaths by guns. Clearly things like this happen all across the globe. 'Merica!

Depends on who owns them. If it's irresponsible people, like the boy's father, then yeah, it would.
On the other hand, none of my guns have killed anyone. Well, two of my rifles may have, since they are military surplus.

That boy will probably get the electric chair, since Tennessee halted the use of lethal injections until a more lethal injection gets developed.

They could just give the gun back to his father and send the boy home. It would be quicker than the appeal process.

It doesn't depend. More guns equals more gun violence. Obviously there are people that own guns that will never kills anyone. It's a good thing gun sellers know who the "responsible" gun owners are.

So if I buy 10 brand new guns next year (more guns, not existing guns changing hands) I'm going to decide to shoot someone because there are now more guns?

Maybe. That guy in Oregon had 13 guns and he killed 9 people.

Did you stop reading my post after those two sentences? I've no idea what may or may not cause you to decide to shoot someone.

Often when kids kill it's because they don't fully understand what they're doing. In movies, tv and video games you get up after dying. They know what real death is but likely haven't experienced it in any meaningful way so it's still abstract to them.
On the other hand some kids are just evil and always will be.

Lack of upbringing and lack of safe storage of guns and ammo.

The parents should be charged with child endangerment among other things.

I also heard it reported that the boy had previously bullied the girl.

In Canada, the parent of an 11 year old shooter would face criminal charges such as improper storage/use of a firearm, etc, as well as civil liability in the death of the child.

I have more guns, in fact a lot of people here own guns than in most of the state and likely pretty high up the gun to people ratio scale as far as the US is concerned.

Yet we have some of the lowest violent crime rates in all of California. ;) How the fuck could that have happened???

Maybe. That guy in Oregon had 13 guns and he killed 9 people.

But was it the volume of guns that made him lose his shit?

Obviously......just ask aglaopheme!

More guns equals more gun violence.

Well which one is it Libuhul hack sweetheart??? Do more guns = more violence or do you not know???

But if I had 13 guns, I'd kill 0 people. So how does more guns=more violence?

Most violence is systemic and the politicians don't want to address the root causes of hopelessness, despair, poverty, lack of quality jobs, outsourcing (thanks TPP/NAFTA/FTAA, etc) and so forth.
