Free web hosting services??

Which ones do you like and dislike?

I am talking about ones that don't have ads, or have very minimal ads (i.e., not like Tripod or Yahoo). I just want to put up some comp sci stuff to advertise my skills and provide some code snippets I think people would like to use. I won't have multi-megabytes of stuff for people to download, in fact I would be surprised if I had more than one MB of stuff to put up, so space isn't that big of a deal.

Page loading speed is an issue as I will be using this page in my resume. I went to tripod's home page and a minute later it still had not loaded, and that is not acceptable.

What do you think of hosts like Suite101 or HostU4Free?

Others?

I don't need fancy stuff, and I don't need a lot of tools such as beginner HTML editors, I can do my own creation. I would like to have ftp though.

You could try Fortune City, I don't know a lot about it but I have a friend that swears its the best.

Thanks, but they are slow (their pages timeout more often than not), and they have popup ads.
