Free the White Plains Four

I say Lock the SOBs up. Stupidity and ineptness are not valid defenses. These guys tried to commit mass murder and they failed, but they still belong in prison forever.

No, they were trying to murder people. Nothing to do with freedom of speech or religion.

I suspect a bit of sarcasm on Cat's part (or at least hope for it).

I investigated quite a few idiots when I was in the Army. One was an Air Force captain with an influential father (which was the majority of the reason why the idiot was made an officer) who decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to be a pimp. He recruited a handful of German teen-aged girls to do the work, and utilized a base car service to send them out to clients. Imagine how easy it was to gather information on that one, since the military is notoriously meticulous about their books.

When we arrested him, he demanded his attorney, refused to speak to any investigators, and patiently awaited his father to come and bail him out. The fact that all his prostitutes gave detailed depositions about how he contacted and hired them didn't shake his smug confidence that Daddy would save him.

The jackass got seven years and a dishonorable discharge. I imagine he's managing a Burger King or something now.

Like Willie, I suspect that Cat was being sarcastic. It not only had nothing to do with freedom of religion, it was an attempted violation of the religious freedom of others.

Hopefully, these guys will never get out of prison. That might save the rest of the people from their stupidity and vindictiveness.

For a moment, Box. But where there are four idiots, four hundred more stand to take their place.

I imagine the FBI have been pretty busy in the last seven and a half years. ;)

I believe that you people are engaging in a conspiracy to deny the four their religious rights.

Let's review the facts. 1) They are Muslims. 2) They are engaged in jihad. 3) There is a reward for a Muslim engaged in jihad. 4) The reward is only available to those who die during jihad. 5) You want to put Muslims, engaged in jihad, into prison, thus denying them their religious reward.

SHAME!

The proper resolution of the matter is a double tap, two bullets into the back of the head. The safety of the American public is enhanced. The jihadis get paradise and 72 houris. Everyone wins.

You know, I do wonder how many of those nutcases who want to blow shit up actually do follow the prophet's crieteria for a jihad asghar. There are some pretty meticulous standards and rules of engagement for proper jihad, and if you slip even in the details, you're nix nay on the whole paradise business.

It would appear that most of them have already lost at jihad akbar, thus it would be no surprise that they also lose at jihad asghar. They are nut cases who just want to destroy. They are angry because they worked at low pay jobs and wanted revenge. That sort of thing is haraam.

Killing them would help both Muslims and non-Muslims. Giving them free room and board would hurt both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Your comment assumes that the FBI weren't busy before that 'seven and half years?' (Dick Cheney reckoning)......I can assure you that they were busy before 9-11 and will be busy for the next two generations as they investigate and arrest these thugs.........
They took out the Mafia and the right wing nut jobs so I'm certain that they can deal with the Islamo-fascists.........

This is true, but it's better to deal with 400 idiots than with 404.

I notice these jihadists were introduced to Islam in prison. Now I wonder how many more of their ilk are up for parole or finishing their sentences. They may not be nearly as inept as these bozos.

I suspect there are quite a few. Basically, you start with people who are already criminals, and indoctrinate them with a distorted view of a major faith that preaches violence and death and enslavement, and you have a very dangerous situation. I also suspect that parole departments and the FBI keep a pretty close eye on such converts.

I assumed nothing. ;)

There are numerous organizations that began in prisons and made it to the outside world. In doing research once for a student newspaper, I interviewed numerous gang members in San Antonio, discovering that at least three of the largest SA gangs began in Bexar County Jail. There is also the long-believed rumor that the Mexican Maffia, at one time the largest drug smuggling organization in Texas, had also been born in Bexar County Jail.

The idea that Islamic extremists would find recruits in prison wouldn't surprise me in the least. They would have the advantage of preaching death and destruction to the very agents who locked them up in the first place, while offering spiritual absolution for their actions.
