I don't understand why you're talking so much about college. You didn't even finish high school.
What I do know, however, is that, after I consolidated my loans, I was paying about $110/month for repayment. Just spoke with a student this week who received a similar degree. She's paying $1500/month. (Or rather, she's trying hard as hell to.)
Who should fix this? Dunno. But that's insane.
Why would anyone borrow tens of thousands of dollars, to get a degree that won't land you a job that can pay it back? That's just insane.

How do you get the job that'll pay it back without the degree?
Is the answer that no one gets degrees and everyone gets lousy jobs?
(Oh, my bad, I forgot: hard work and faith solves all problems.)![]()
Well ripping kids off for higher education is almost entirely a Democrat scam so I'm going to go ahead and say that responsibility lies with them.
Because their parents, teachers and government have all been telling them that if they just go to college they can do anything they want!
No one ever sat Johnny down and told him he didn't have the noodle to be an astronaut and needs to get real skills to make money instead of getting in debt to line some Democrats and their buddies pockets.
No one ever sits Sue down and tells her she needs to learn how to fuckin' weld, chase turds, run conduit or operate an excavator so that they can feed themselves.
A degree doesn't get you a good job
Yes it does. Ill be eating brunch by the ocean this morning, and there's no doubt that my degree - which does not pertain to my field of work - was instrumental in that reality.
Do I think lack of a degree should preclude a qualified person from getting a job? Absolutely not.
But it does. Often. Daily. Hourly.

Have you ever noticed a kid will go to college and get a degree then end up on a job that has nothing to do with what he learned?

Sadly a janitor or burger flipper needs an education today.
