Could experiment, styrofoam balls are cheap.
Maybe you could put the eyes on one of those plastic headband things, but maybe that'd be really weird and you'd be a walking "don't let this happen"
("This dog...could get into studio 54 no problem" did me in.)

You might take a cue from the cookie monster whose mouth is used as the eye-hole except use your neck as the mouth of the character. You can either yellow out the unneeded features of your face or use a yellow stocking to cover your nose and mouth so that you get that long smooth nose-line that the character has.
The eye question can be solved either of a couple of ways with this approach. Either paint the whites and using your own eyes as the pupils --- you'll have to paint black circles in the centers so as to get a really round shape rather than the almond of real eyes. Or, if you're using a stocking to cover nose and mouth you could paint eyes on it and pull it up --- providing it's still translucent enough for you to see through.

If that doesn't make any kind of sense to you I can show you a picture as long as you make sure you pee before you look at it. I am no kind of artist with MSPaint but I know a thing or two about theatrical makeup.
