First the Nordic countries and now France, how long until this idea spreads to the US?

Imagine a prostitute and customer mutually consensually agree on a sexual transaction, then afterward the prostitute threatens to report the customer to the police unless the customer pays even more money. That's just one scenario of how this can be abused by one of the parties in the transaction.

I watched the news in French on SBS this morning. The chief cop said the new law cannot be policed. He suggested that it will get the women off the streets, but all assignations will be arranged by cellphone under the guise of 'dating 'sites.

He also opined that a technology based profession would make it much easier for the human traffickers to escape detection.
