Part of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show was the included features like Mr. Knowitall and Mr. Peabody. Two of those were those mentioned in the thread title.

Basically, they took commonly know fairy tales and fables and twisted them to have comedic or ironic endings.
I'm sure there are more than a few Lit stories along those lines, but maybe without the authors really knowing it had been done. What could some of you do with this concept?
