Fox News sucks

So I was watching CNN this morning waiting for General Franks press briefing to start and decided to be daring and switch over to Fox News to see just what the hub bub was about. I'd always avoided Fox News in the past - I figured anyone who would hire Bill O'Reilly on purpose had no right to be taken seriously.

So, switch over and there's this Colonel Hunt guy on there being the military analyst.

That made me suspicious. All of CNN's guys are Generals, and the best Fox could do was a Colonel? Hmmm...

And then Col. Hunt guy was asked a question and he starts gesticulating like a cross between Joe Cocker and Admiral Stockdale and he never did answer the really simple question that he was asked.

So after about 5 minutes of this I realized that Fox News was just as bad as I had expected it to be and went back to CNN.

Using Fox and News in the same sentence ought to be grounds for being shipped to North Korea.

GRRRRRR!!!!! I work at a hotel, and two of our guests have spent the last three days chewing us out because they don't get Fox News in their rooms, and CNN and MSNBC simply WILL NOT do. It's brought new meaning to "The customer is always RIGHT." Far, far right, apparently.

I hate it. Hate it from their ridiculous "fair and balanced" crap, all the way to their highly unprofessional and overly-opinionated "reporters".

Fox News should be bombed into submission.

You know now the Conservative Brigade is going to come in here screaming about what bias and such.

I have to disagree with you on this point - Col. Hunt is comedy gold because he is not comedy gold and he thinks he is comedy gold. Confusing, I know, but I'll explain.

Number one, he talks like he just smoked two packs of cloves before the camera on him, then he tells the same joke over and over again with a smirk thinking "The home audience is loving this".

His joke: "Shock-and-Awe is not a vacation resort in Michigan."

I was watching it for two hours in the early morning so nothing was going on, so they kept going back to Col. Hunt. And most of the time, he'd say that.

Oh, and it's funny everytime I see Shepard Smith wearing more makeup than the woman counterpart he's with.

See, this isn't a conservative versus liberal issue for me. I've been called both on this board and on any given day I can be both or neither. I can also weed thru bullshit when I see it no matter which direction it's coming from.

I can see Spin's point of view on this, but I'd rather watch a video phone bouncing across the desert at 40 mph than listen to Col Hunt.

I think FOX news sucks for a lot more reasons then its extreme bias but the people who come into defend FOX will be conservative.

FOX just looks like a 24 hour Inside Edition to me.

If they can defend it on its merits (does it have any?), that'll be fine.

If all they've got is point of view, then their arguement is invalid before they begin.

My roommate watches all FOX news all the time and I have not seen that much in the way of merit yet.

We get over 200 channels and he still watches either FOX news or whatever channel has anything about NASCAR on it.

That would also be FOX.

Yeah he hunts around for other NASCAR stuff on any other channel too. He even watches the reruns of the race that FX runs on tuesday or wensday.

It is sooooooo sad.

i told u sand wus harcore.

No, the footage of them driving is the second most worthless stuff we're seeing - second only to the videophone interviews.

"I can't tell you where I am, I can't tell you what I've seen, I can't tell you what might happen, and boy the image sure is shitty!"
