It was rare that he spoke. None knew his real name. Instead, he was called Gateway. He was a Dreamwalker, and a mutant. He was very unusual in his powers. He had watched much, in his years. He had seen his great grandson come back in time to fight an enemy that wasn't what they appeared. He had watched the same great grandson get stranded in his time, unable to return home because of the laws of temporal mechanics. He had watched Legacy, and House of M, come and go. But the worst was seeing his friends drifting apart. The Xmen flew apart like the pieces of a grenade at the death of Charles Xavier. He spoke now, to the young woman standing before him. His voice came out dry, raspy, and ancient. "Jubilation Lee, are you sure this is the course you wish to take? If I gate you to a place no mutant can reach, you may never return." He opened his eyes and looked up into hers. He could see the determination in her eyes, and bowed his acquiescence. He opened the gate one last time for her.

Johnny Stardust was your ordinary, every day, average filmmaker. He'd started doing cameras on cheap pornos, which disinterested him. He'd slowly worked his way up to feature films. His first and only film so far had been a success, and he was swimming in cash, but something was missing, he felt. He laid back on the deck surrounding his pool, and stared at the sky. He was almost asleep, when he felt the hair rise on the back of his neck. He opened his eyes, and looked up, to see some sort of glowing portal in the air a few meters above. "How strange." He would have continued the thought, when he saw something come through, and fall down into his lap. He oofed, groaning as he felt the weight land on him. Then he did what he could to sit up, and looked at what had landed on top of him. It was a woman, he realized. She wore leather, which accentuated her hips, arse, and breasts. Her dark black hair, straight and soft, marked her as an Asian girl, in spite of the spikeyness she'd obviously given it.

OOC: here's j00r Jubes thread *grins*

She was tired. Sick and tired. Everyone always ignoring her or treating her like a kid. So what if the House of M had taken her powers? She was still good in hand to hand and first aid, she had been with the team long enough to know how to take care of herself. The others telling her she couldn't go wasn't what set her off. It had been Logan calling her 'kid'. She went off on him telling him just where he could stick his 'kid'. She snarled, acting every bit the feral as the one she had once looked up to and even loved. People moved out of the way, since they all knew better than to get in the way of an angry Jubilee.

She hurriedly packed a bag then stormed out the door. A handful of people had tried to call her back, but she was having none of it. She moved into the forest near the mansion and soon found the spot that was the hiding place of the mutant Gateway. She looked around before calling for the older man. "I gotta get out o' here Gateway. Somewhere no mutant can find me." She smiled ruefully. "Aside from you o' course." She nodded in determination when he asked if she was sure. When the gate opened, she gave the older man a quick peck on the cheek and a sweet "Thanks dude!" then jumped through.

She landed on something hard and let out a soft oof. She looked up and noticed that her landing pad was actually some guy. "Sorry bout that. Name's Jubilee. Who're you?"

Johnny blinked, looking at the young woman as she introduced herself. He nodded his head. "Johnny. Nice to meet you. You know, you have the body and face of an adult actress?" It just sort of slipped out. He hadn't even known her half a minute and he'd already practically offered her a job. He had no idea how old she was, even, and she didn't seem to understand what he meant. Then again, she fell from a hole in the sky, so it wasn't likely she would.

Still, he couldn't help but feel attracted to her. That and the fact that she was positioned in his lap just right so that if they were naked, he'd be buried to the hilt. "So...You just fell out of a hole in the sky." He said it like it was the most plausible, reasonable thing he'd ever seen, and it wasn't a question at all.

"O' course Imma have that kinda face. Imma adult damn it!" She scrambled off of him, crossed her arms under her breasts and glared. "The fuck is wrong wit' everybody?! I ain't a kid no damn more!" She shouted with a snarl in her voice. "Yes, Cap'n Obvious, I did fall from a hole in the sky. Anything else you wanna mention that everyone else could see? Like that the sky is blue or somethin'?"

Johnny raised an eyebrow at that, then shrugged. He took a moment to adjust his shorts, and then climbed out of the lounge chair. He stretched, and looked at her for a moment. "How about the fact that you have poor grammar?" He smiled and then walked past her towards his house. If she wanted to follow, she could. After all, she seemed to have a complex regarding her age. He opened the door, and stepped inside, feeling the cooler air immediately. He turned on the lights, and headed for the kitchen to make something to eat.

"Kiss my ass. Jerk." She grabbed her bag from the side of the chair and slung it back over her shoulder. "I'm outta here." She took off from the backyard. No way was she going to stick around yet another asshole telling her how she should act. Nuh uh, no way. She leaped up onto the fence, then jumped down and started walking away.

As she jumped the fence, she saw the windows explode outward from a building nearby. Thick green smoke poured from them, flowing out over the ground. In another building, a door was open, revealing electric sparks happening. Outside, cars zoomed past across the street in front of her. No pedestrians were in sight. Johnny had heard the explosion, and came out, then sighed. "Not again. That's the third time this week. Doesn't he know that stuff's caustic?" He grabbed his cell phone, and started dialing. At the same time, he grabbed a large industrial fan and moved it over to a gate in the fence, turning it on to blow the smoke away.

"What the hell?" She thought to herself as the explosion knocked her on her ass. Smoke poured out of the house, green and toxic. The bag was the first thing to hit the ground. Jubilee was well on her way to being second.

Johnny directed the fan so that the smoke was blown away from her. Once it was far enough away, he stepped through the gate and walked over to her. "Sorry. Should have warned you about the neighborhood. The guy in there fancies himself a scientist and inventor. The only thing he's actually invented is that gas though. That stuff touches you, your skin starts to burn and blister. I think it's a nerve gas, though that wasn't his intention for it. It'll dissipate in a few minutes. Welcome to Abadon." He grinned, holding his hand out to her.

She cautiously took his hand, wobbling only a little. "Hank'd have a ball here." She hadn't realized she'd spoken aloud til she caught the look on his face. "Never mind bout that. Anywhere I can bunk down?"

Johnny raised an eyebrow at her words, noting how soft her hands were. Then he blinked, trying to decipher her meaning when she said Bunk Down. Finally it hit him. She was asking for a place to stay. "Um...Yeah, sure. Come on. You can have my bed. I'll take the couch." Former porno director though he was, he had always treated the women as ladies, goddesses even.

Jubilee smiled softly. "Thanks a lot." She followed after him as he reentered the house. She dumped her bag by a chair, then flopped down into it with a sigh. "Oh my achin' back."

Johnny raised an eyebrow, then grinned. "Rough day? So, what do you know about Johnny Stardust?" He asked the question, not knowing what she'd say, as he went back in the kitchen and continued making supper. He maded enough for both of them, moving around the kitchen with a hum.

She tilted her head, thought for a moment, then gave the perfect answer. "Who?" He almost dropped the pot he had as he turned to look at her. "Why the face? Ain'tcha never heard of alternate dimensions?"

Johnny blinked, nearly dropping the pot in his hand as she said she'd never heard of him. Then she mentioned alternate dimensions. He raised an eyebrow, then shrugged. "I'm Johnny Stardust. I'm a filmmaker. I used to do Adult Films, now I've moved on to more mainstream work. Of course, I've only had one successful regular film." He sighed at that, then went back to cooking.

"I'm sure you ain't never heard o' the X-Men." She smiled when he shook his head. "That's what I thought. Never mind then. What was the name of your big hit?" She asked him, genuinely curious.

Johnny smiled, and thought carefully. "Well, the truly successful one was titled The X. It was about a group of superheros with special powers caused by genetic anomalies. Good action film, lots of special effects. Audiences loved it. Too bad none of the others have been nearly that successful." He came out with two steaming plates of stirfry over chow mein noodles. He set one on the table before her, and the other on the opposite side. He sat down, and smiled.

She almost fell out of her chair. She recovered quickly and started eating. The chow mein was delicious and she told him so.

He grinned, and bowed slightly, then started eating. As he ate, he conversed with her, explaining various things to her, including his old films.

She smiled as he spoke, sharing things here and there, but mostly glossing over her old life.

He smiled, as they both finished their meals, and leaned back. "So, what do you think of the place?" He found his eyes again drawn to her body, wondering what she'd feel like wrapped around him.

"Its...different, but very nice. I guess I'm just used to living with tons of other people at the school."

He laughed at that. "That sort of thing happens in some of the places around here too. I own this place though. I picked it because of location. Didn't expect the odd locals. But I didn't want to move."

She laughed as well. "Well, I'll do the dishes when we finish" He looked like he wanted to protest, but she held up a hand, "Its no big, I'm used ta it from back at the school."

He had been about to say no, when she shushed him and told him not to worry. He watched her walk into the kitchen, and shook his head. He was again struck by her beautiful figure as she walked away from him.
