Although I never liked her products, I have undying admiration for how she fused commercial success with ethical and environmental concerns - and was still a funny, quirky lady.

The message from her life we should foster is - don't lecture, tax, impose as a way of forcing your views. Just set an example, give us poor suckers a way to react and combine capitalism with responsibility.

Anita, you'll be sorely missed. Al Gore is not worthy to snap on your bicycle clip.
