Full Novel = 90,000 words and up; 360 pages and up (double-spaced)
Mid Novel = 61,000-89,000 words; 244-356 pages (double-spaced)
Category = 40,000-60,000 words; 160-240 pages (double-spaced)
Novella = 20,000-39,000 words; 80-156 pages (double-spaced)

Someone asked this the other day. I stumbled across this while surfing. This is ANOTHER SITES classification. There could be 100 sites with 400 different catagories. Or this could be the real classification.

Just FYI for whoever asked that the other day.

:p

I never heard of a Mid Novel before.

I've heard the term mid-level used quite a bit when refering to British literary efforts. That doesn't mean its exclusively British, that's just where I heard it. The list I submitted is from a US site in fact.

120000 or more Words Series (Unless you are Really well known)

Words Series is a new one to me.

If a manuscript is much more than 120,000 words they perfer you make it a series. Their front-end cost gets pretty high for editing and such. Then the typesetting and printing is pretty serious money.
