I'm having a problem logging into the "Forums" .
To be clear, I'm currently logged in to the Forums using my tablet and not experiencing any problems.
However, when I attempt log in on my lap-top, I can not get signed into the Forums .
I can access my account without issue. I can access my options & settings as well.
Can anyone explain why I might be having this problem on my laptop ?
.
Thank You

What kind of error? What’s the exact error message text?

And what kind of laptop, what version of Windows or macOS or Linux? What browser? And importantly, is your tablet on the same WiFi as the laptop?

Quick hits to try: install another browser on your laptop, try that.

Possibilities include:
  • Caps lock
  • Firewall settings
  • Parenting settings
  • anti malware/antivirus program treating lot like a porn site
  • Browser settings (-among the above categories, but on the browser not the laptop)
  • Browser password manager possibly overzealously using an old password

I am having the same issue. I have tried different browsers. I have cleared cache/ cookies. It was working perfectly on Thursday and I got booted (which happens often) but since then I have not been able to log in. Pop up says chat not available. Everything works properly on my iPad.

It's frustrating for sure.

I was just reading about this issue with Lit members.... Many have deleted the "Literotica" cookies and that has worked for several members.
.
What kind of error? What’s the exact error message text?... = I'm not getting a single error message ! That's what is so strange.

I get nothing. I select the login option. Then I'm sent to my account panel. From there I select "Forums" and I'm not signed in ?
Oh, so you are signing in just fine.

Here's what you do:
After you log in successfully, and after you navigate to the Forum, find the "New Posts" link under the Forum menu or the What's New menu.

Once you visit the "New Posts" page, your logged-in status will be picked up by the Forum part of the website.

It's stupid but that's how it works. At least we have a workaround.

What I have started doing is just bookmarking the New Posts page and logging in from there. That way, New Posts is the first page I see after logging in, and there isn't any extra clicking around to make the site "see" my login status.

I have a suggestion. I was having this issue about the forums on my main browser (chrome) although I have a secondary browser that I can log into fine with on (brave)

I was able to log into my profile but not the forum.(with chrome) I would log in to the profile and then come to the forum and I was logged out again. (I had to reinstall my Operating System today and had just reinstalled my browsers So clearing my cache and cookies was not really needed at that point as I had not really logged into anything to have a corrupted tracking cookie.)

The way I fixed it was I logged into the chat because I was grumpy about the forum nonsense. That worked just fine. And then I wondered hmm lets try it again and it logged me into the forum again.

Not sure if that would help you. But maybe try logging into the chat and while logged in there open another tab and try logging into the forum again? I have not had any issues with it since. So I will understand if you don't use chat but if you log in just for a minute or so it might let you log into the forum properly.

I hope this works but if not. I am sorry.

Thank you so much !!!😍

Nice work britva. Is this the same phenomenon where the forum appearance bounces between a plainer look, vs the standard look with the blue background banner bar? That happens to me too. (Edit: clicking on any visible story, not folder also gets back to the real look forum.). I think it is, nice catch recognizing it. Then there’s also the “oops an error occurred” too when you reply to a thread and take too long to type (including just typing a long reply). The same error where it’s wise to copy the text because half the time, some or all of the text is lost when you hit refresh.

A little patience is a must for using this site. Glad to see a good outcome!
