Forum search: not fit for purpose

Why oh why must the forum search feature be so poor?

I wanted to search for threads on home made sex toys.

According to the search all those terms are too common and it refuses to search.

Then it's a 30 second wait to try again each time after changing the search terms. And always to no avail!

Yeah the search is pretty poor. The only excuse I can think of is that this is quite an old forum, and search software from 20+ years ago wasn't all that good. On the other hand, newer forum software is generally worse, because it is influenced so much by so-called social media. So I don't worry about it too much.

This isn't the greatest place to find stuff about homemade toys anyway. You might try a more general web search.
