Does anyone know of an app for android phones/tablets to read and post message to this forum? I know there are a few forum viewing apps out there but I don't know which ones are compatible with Literotica.

Well, they're beta-testing the official Literotica android app. Right now, it's just for reading the stories and such, but they do say they'll be eventually expanding the features. They'll probably expand it for posting eventually.

Now then, my company frequently lets me beta test certain tablets/smartphones and such. I've been able to access and post on the forums with the Toshiba Thrive, the Motorola Xoom, and the Sony Tablet. (can't remember what it's called.) I had problems with the Sony, but that seemed to be due to Sony's issues. All three were running the Honeycomb version.

As far as Smartphones go, none of the phones themselves could handle the forums. But.... When I tested a Bionic and a Razr with their respective laptop docks (Running Gingerbread for the OS and using Firefox 4 as the web browser) I was able to access the forums. It was wonkier than when I was using a tablet, but I think that may have been due to the Firefox browser rather than the OS. I should be able to get my hands on Ice Cream Sandwich device soon, and I'll post an update when I can.

I asked the same question when I got my new phone. :)

It doesn't appear there's anything out there with good ratings, though.

{Edited to remove wrong info.}

Thanks for the responses so far. I find I can manage viewing Lit on my Samsung Galaxy South fine with the Dolphin Browser app but was rather hoping that a proper app like Tapa(?) would work better.

Maybe I'll give that a shot.

wasn't able to find a free version of Tapatalk on the Android MarketPlace so I guess I'm still open to suggestions

I quickly realized that when I went looking for it, too. It also appears the forum owner has to install Tapa on the forum itself. :rolleyes: I read some threads about it that mentioned the trial and such, but didn't note the date of the posts. I'm sorry I led you astray with that suggestion!

it is entirely possible to create an app (probably based on the tapatalk app) that interfaces with the forum.
The xda developers forum, the phone developer site has both a free app and a paid app, the free one having ads.

But probably using tapatalk itself would be easiest, depending on the cost to the owners.Which looking seems to be free? I wonder what extra load it puts on the servers for lit.

it is installed on a linux forum I moderate, but there are really few people there who use it regularly, and the place has nowhere near the traffic we see here.

I haven't had a problem reading and posting on the forums with the native Android web browser. A dedicated app would be nice, but the browser is sufficient in the mean time.

Agreed... The browser works ok. I use it occasionally and while a bit awkward it does the job. Like now for instance. But a dedicated app would be nice.

I have no problems with my Android phone, either. I'm not sure what a dedicated app. could add to the experience.
