Formulating ideas into further chapters

I have a few multi-chapter stories I would like to add to, but all the ideas in my head for those (and other as-yet-unwritten stories) are making it hard to focus on how they should continue - as well as finding the time to do so. I figured talking about the ideas and stories with other writers, or just interested readers, might help and give me the impetus to just start writing.

So if anyone's interested, please take a look at the stories linked in my signature and let me know. For the most part they're of the older man / younger woman dynamic.

I am having a similar problem with a story that wants to be told messing up my writing schedule. In your case, are you saying you don't know where to go next?

Sounds like putting the cart before the horse. I would think that the decision to add chapters would flow out of the ideas arising justifying and inviting doing so, not before.

I do have ideas for what else should happen in the stories, but figuring out the order and how well the chapters would transition is proving tricky. I do have a two chapter story which I think might be done for the reason you suggested, the ideas for continuing that particular story not really being there (partly because it’s a little too close to another story I feel is stronger and has more potential). Also having multiple stories going seems to have created a traffic jam of ideas.

I might just need to spend more time mapping out each story further.
