“Is Trump immoral, in your view?” Raddatz asked.

“I think he is,” he said.

Thus spoke former four-star general Stanley McChrystal on a wide ranging interview on ABC. McChrystal stated, in his view:

"If we want to be governed by someone we wouldn't do a business deal with because their -- their background is so shady, if we're willing to do that, then that's in conflict with who I think we are. And so I think it's necessary at those times to take a stand."

McChrystal also went on to say what being an effective leader is from a military perspective:

“The military talks about would they come for you. And what that means is if you're put into a difficult military situation, would that leader sacrifice himself, put himself and others at risk to come for you? I have to believe that the people I'm working for would do that, whether we disagree on a lot of other things. I'm not convinced from the behavior that I've seen that that's the case here,” said McChrystal.

In the interview, McChrystal criticized the con artist for politicizing his recent visit to Iraq saying by doing so, the con artist puts the military on a slippery slope. The military, McChrystal said, should be apolitical.

But McChrystal wasn't done lambasting the buffoon. He, like so many others, pointed out where the con artist failed as a leader and negotiator when he blinked concerning the Taliban in Afghanistan:

“I think the great mistake in the president's leaked guidance is that just when we were starting to sit down with the Taliban, just we were starting to begin negotiations, he basically traded away the biggest leverage point we have. If you tell the Taliban that we are absolutely leaving on a date ... their incentives to try to cut a deal dropped dramatically,” McChrystal said.

As a final point, it should be noted that McChrystal was relieved of his duties by Obama when McChrystal said unkind words in a Rolling Stone interview. Despite relieving him, Obama did praise MChrystal's "deep intelligence" and "love of the country."

During my considerable lifetime, I've never heard former military or members and former members of the GOP trash the sitting president as they are now.

Retired four-star Gen. Stanley McChrystal did not mince words when it came time to talk about President Donald Trump in an interview with ABC’s This Week on Sunday, making it clear he won’t be joining the administration. “I don’t think he tells the truth,” McChrystal said of the commander in chief. When asked whether he seems Trump as “immoral,” McChrystal said yes: “I think he is.”

McChrystal said that if he were asked, he wouldn’t hesitate to reject a job in the Trump administration. “I think it’s important for me to work for people who I think are basically honest, who tell the truth as best they know it,” he said. “I’m very tolerant of people who make mistakes because I make so many of them—and I’ve been around leaders who’ve made mistakes … but through all of them, I almost never saw people trying to get it wrong. And I almost never saw people who were openly disingenuous on things.”

Gen. Stanley McChrystal does not have much respect for civilians

But, McChrystal must have had valuable expertise.

Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, who was fired from his job as top U.S. commander in Afghanistan after a Rolling Stone profile quoted his aides talking trash about civilian leaders, is back, the New York Times reports today. The Obama administration has invited him to helm a “high profile” initiative in support of military families.
