Is it possible to have a page break at just the right moment? Or am I at the mercy of Lit's content bot? It's not a huge deal, but the way my story flows, there is a beautiful "page break" moment. Everything seems to indicate my main character has just checked out of the story.

If there's no way to have the page break where I need it, how do you format such a "wait, wait, wait... and away we go" section?

I don't think it's possible without prior coordination with Laurel via PM, although maybe making a case for it in the comments box would work.

Thanks. I'll be uploading a pre-formatted .docx file for Geek Pride Day and I'm already cutting it extremely close. No fancy formatting tricks then. I appreciate the info though.

Someone said at one point the Lit page max is 20,000 characters - including spaces. You might be able to fiddle with your exact character count, but it sounds to me something that's cool for you but would readers notice or care? I doubt it.

I have tried it when one of my stories only had a few words on the last page. I had to remove about 400 words to avoid that so I decided to let it stand as originally divided.

Isn't a reader who is going to go bananas about a story dribbling a line or two onto the next Lit. page being bit more anal retentive than needs to be catered to?
