The sound of Sarah's platformed shoes hitting the pavement seem to echo all around her. She was running frantically, her shining blond hair in whisps around her pale face, her forest green eyes tinted with worry...
She had been so stupid, leaving everything for Heath's birthday up to the last minute. She had everything planned too, it was going to be a great pool party - - Sarah was famous for her pool parties. But unfortunately, thanks to a cold front from Canada, the weather had took a change for the worse, leaving the pool party a definate no. And so, here Sarah was, frantically searching for anything to make a party with.
She needed something exciting enough for Dee, tame enough for Audrey, and something that would hold Michael's attention. She knew that Heath would be alright with anything she had planned... Heath..
Just the sound of his name made her heart pound, every time she thought of him she got a warm feeling in her body. They had been a couple since she could remember, so long that her friends called them Heath-and-Sarah, as if they were a unit. Two people who had become known as one person, it was a wonderful feeling.
How embrassing that she couldn't even make his day a happy one. She hoped her friends were back at her place, maybe planning something or preparing some kind of suprise to releave her.
She had somehow found herself wondering deeper and deeper into dark alleys. But she wasn't afraid. Nothing bad ever happenend to Sarah. How surprised she was to find a mural, clear as day, painted on the side of a building. The mural was of a door, or at least it looked like a door, the handle looked so realistic...
"If that is a store, they must not get very much business"
Instinctively she reached for the handle, to her surprise she grasped the cold metal of the knob in her hand and opened the door....
"More Games?"
The door had shut behind her, closing her off from the rest of the world. The shop as it were seemed to be something from another dimenson. She was staring at the sign in the middle of the room, swaying back and forth...
The shop itself was filled with games. Weird games, ancient games, some she recognized.. like the glass chess set and an old monkeys- in - the - barrels game. But most she didn't recognize, like the 3D chrome board, the dices of many shapes and many colors, .. just what place was this?
