Obviously I haven't been around in a while. I still check in from time to time, but life has severely curtailed my free time - for the moment.

I'm posting because I have a friend who is running in the ING NYC Marathon to raise money for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, and I'm encouraging my friends to help him out.

Bob Woodruff is a journalist, who was severely injured in Iraq. During his recuperation, he and his family had an opportunity to get to know many wounded soldiers. His foundation is dedicated to assisting injured soldiers and their families, including those with "hidden" injuries.

An excerpt from the ReMIND homepage:

Helping to heal the physical and psychological wounds of war.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation provides resources and support to service members, veterans and their families to successfully reintegrate into their communities so they may thrive physically, psychologically, socially and economically. Read more at About Us.

ReMIND.org is a movement of the Bob Woodruff Foundation that educates the public about the needs of injured service members, veterans and their families as they reintegrate into their communities and empowers people everywhere to take action.

My friend will be running in the marathon on Nov. 1. If you would like to donate, you can do so here. Click on the link to donate online, or print the donation form to mail a check. His name is Ramiro Orta.

Thank you.
