For what it's worth...

Real reason Bush is Bullish on Iraq War

:p

Hey, I just watched this movie last week.....oh wait....forget it....

Boy George is talkin' with the Arabs now, tryin' to find friendly support from someone. He should take out an ad in personals. Fucking nimrod.

ok so your against war with iraq. You want to not do it sit back and let sadam build weapons of mass destruction? you wanna wait for him to purposely kill innocent people being USA or ANY OTHER country? WHat happens when that happens and people start asking why we did not take care of it now? Yea sure than we have stronger reason and more support but innocent lives lost. i know if we attack that innocent lives are in danger there but we may save more by protecting others i know it is a thin line to walk but sadam cannot be trusted. And what about iran? now accused of supporting alqueda (misspelled sorry) Do we go attack them? or do we sit back and let them build up for more terrorist attacks? You know if we sit back im afraid that we will get set back in our ways and terrorists will get back in here and attack us again and suicide bombers we have to think about our future our kids future keeping america and all friends safe.

Weapons of mass destruction?

I haven't seen any, have you? Of course our government wouldn't make something like this up, now would they? Our mainstream newsmakers don't ever speculate without proof either, so let's just be good little Americans by not questioning any of this, and believe whatever Tom Brokaw and the rest of these "journalists" want us to hear. They want a war as much as anybody else.

This message has been brought to you by Pepto-Bismal.

Let's just try to ignore the fact that we pretty much obliterated Iraq, and all of their military AND nonmilitary resources eleven years ago. It was easy, and fun on some TV channels, they were completely outclassed. Of course our media built it up beforehand, they kept telling us what a formidable force Iraq's Republican Guard Army was, Don King couldn't have sold it better. I didn't buy it then, and I'm not buying it now. I honestly don't see them as any more of a threat than any other country, and I don't see how wiping them out again is going to stop some guy from walking into the building across the street from me and blowing it up.

Bush is tossing bullshit to the masses, get it line.

Iraq focused on spreading poison
By The Washington Post

In the waning hours of Operation Desert Fox in 1998, a British missile sheared off the top of a military hangar in southern Iraq and exposed a closely guarded secret. Plainly visible in the rubble was a new breed of Iraqi drone aircraft - one that defense analysts now believe was specially modified to spread deadly chemicals and germs.

Up to a dozen of the unmanned airplanes were spotted inside the hangar, each fitted with spray nozzles and wing-mounted tanks that could carry up to 80 gallons of liquid anthrax. If flown at low altitudes under the right conditions, a single drone could unleash a toxic cloud engulfing several city blocks, a top British defense official concluded. He dubbed them ``drones of death.''

Today, Iraq's drones loom even larger as the Bush administration weighs a possible new strike against Saddam Hussein. The United States and Britain have charged that the Iraqi president is working to obtain chemical, biological and possibly nuclear weapons. A key unanswered question is whether Iraq has the means to deliver such weapons.

The article also details "drop tank" modifications to Iraq's supersonic Mirage F-1 fighters:

The other device, judged by former UNSCOM inspectors to be the most troubling of all, was a simple aircraft ``drop tank,'' a torpedo-shaped container mounted on the wings of fighter jets as a reserve fuel tank. Iraqi engineers added a British-made electric valve and aerosol sprayer adapted for biological and chemical warfare, U.N. documents show.

...

Former inspectors found the drop-tanks worrisome because they can carry greater payloads - more than 500 gallons per tank. And, unlike drones and helicopters, the supersonic F-1 would pose a tougher target for antiaircraft batteries.

This article details just ONE of the reasons that Saddam Hussein is considered an immediate "threat to the US and her Allies" that so many have been asking to see.

Now Harold, don't go bothering PH and Siren with facts or reason... it won't do any good and it just annoys them...

Why not? Sometimes it's fun to poke sticks in their cages and stir things up a bit -- PH's comment was just the first one tht search turned up that this article was a direct reply to.

Thanks for the info, Harold.

Tell me why a discovery like this, in 1998, finally becomes news yesterday.

Who is the Register-Guard , and why do they have exclusive access to UN documents?

Where are the photos? There has to be photos.

You'd think CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox would be on this like white on rice. Are they?

Just questions...

After watching "Blackhawk Down" the other night, I just hope Iraq doesn't have a few cadres of starving civilians armed with stcks and stones and pickup truck-mounted gatling guns.

Follow the link: It's clearly indicated that the Washington Post is the source of the article -- I just happened to find it through a reprint in the RG.

Why do you suppose that Saddam needs Mach 2.2 crop dusters? (actually only Mach 1.1 at sea level.)

Over 180,000 dead Kurds.

Over 250 uses of chemical and biological weapons.

Overtly-stated promises not only to use these again, but to supply them to groups that have also promised to use them on the United States.

If you're looking for more reasons to depose this man, stop looking. That many dead Kurds ought to be enough for anyone.

How long does it take for the U.S. to import a million gallons of oil from Iraq? Is it a week or a month? I can't remember.

Only a few days when we take them. Spoils of war dont have to suck.

No, we currently import oil from Iraq. I don't recall the timeframe per million gallons. Saudi Arabia has promised to cover the amount once an invasion is launched.

Why don't we go kick Venezuela's, Saudi Arabia's, Russia's or Mexico's ass.

They've all got more oil that friggin' Iraq, and all of them except Russia would be easier to whip.

And we are, of course, the only nation that actually imports oil from Iraq, too, so it's purely our problem.

Saddam is a major-league asshole, and he definitely needs to be watched. No doubt about it.

Do you honestly think he'd be able to get his crop dusters into our air-space?

Can you produce nuclear warheads without testing?

Can you test them quietly?

What exactly does "topple" mean? It sounds like a board game.
