for what it's worth: Pence has not ruled out 25th Amendment, source says

“ wants to preserve it as an option in case Trump becomes more unstable, a source close to the VP says.”

Sure, let’s wait until he becomes more unstable whatever that looks like.

as i said in the other thread i think he's frightened for his life.

as he should be.

now if only he could find the strength to fight through that fear and do what's right. hopefully he can.

.
If Trump tries to issue any more pardons to family or cronies Pence should immediately invoke the 25th amendment with the support of the cabinet. Same goes for obstructive executive orders.

Trump should be made to sit behind that tiny desk with a giant black Sharpie and maps of the United States for the rest of his term.

He's been unstable for the past four years, what the fuck?

Dem women in Congress, like Nancy, have a tougher spine than these Repug males.

Read somewhere that if the 25th is invoked trump can write a letter to somebody saying “nuh uh” and then there’s a waiting period before things happen. So it would sideline him with pence in charge until the transition which may do the trick.

But I don’t see mother giving pence the go ahead.

Exactly, and he would effectively lose the powers of the presidency.

What freaked Pence out was when Trump kissed him during that lunch, and told him he broke his heart.

dude, you know damned good and well that if they impeach him and the senate isn't around to do their part then it is nothing more than theatre.

Yep, that's what section 4 of the 25th Amendment said. Trump can write a letter to Congress, saying he doesn't need to be taken out and the Congress has to vote on that within 21 days. The VP remains in charge during that period, though.

Even if the Senate doesn't act on the impeachment, it could complicate or even prevent another run in 2024.

it's already delayed. the senate won't be back until the 19th.

Doesn't matter. Impeachment doesn't require the Senate. As soon as Georgia certifies the vote...a change of power will occur and they can be called back. Force the GOP to put their name condoning treason. Then, as the investigations continue and we see how deep it went in the Party, they can all be censured
