Hello my friend. After a lot of reading on this site, I decided to take your advice from long ago and submit some of my stories here.

1) How do I know which category to submit my story under? (ex: "My Wild Weekend" is a 3 part story that has a little of several categories in it. The first day has group sex, girl/girl, light bondage and voyerism (wife watching secretly in the closet while hubby has 2 women unbeknownst to hubby), day 2 has much of the same with added public outdoor sex and day 3 is garden variety sex with mfm.)

2) Do I need to have it edited before I submit it? If so...how and who?

I'm very nervous about this, it seems a lot more difficult to submit here than on the site we first met. I thank you for your encouragement and help. I hope to hear from you soon.

Most people here would be happy to help.

A 3-part story? If they will be submitted individually, each chapter could be in a different category. No worries there. Although it sounds as if group sex could cover all three (perhaps Loving Wives for the second - but that tends to be a difficult category for some reason - angry readers).

The best way to get help with editing is have your friends read it. There are editors here on Lit but most of the people I know here share with friends (you read mine, I read yours, we offer suggestions and catch typos, etc.).

AND spell and grammar check it with software. Extensively. Three times.

Also read it out loud to check for awkwardness.

It isn't difficult to submit here, once you get the hang of it.

Welcome Ks...... sounds like you can put it in any category you want.. just look at the story and decide yourself.

As far as editors go... no rule says you NEED one. I submitted quite a few of my early stories before I used an editor. Having said that... other eyes HELP A BUNCH. Lit has a volunteer editor program you can use.... and there are several people who are quite capable but not in the program.. Make some friends and ask them.

group sex sounds fine to start..... if there is a problem the powers that be might move it but normally they leave pretty much alone.....

stay the hell out of loving wives unless you love trolls..... and one bombs..... and crazy annonomous people.....

The volenteer editors you've already heard about.... friends you've heard about.... I just started posting mine and my editor found me.... she's the best thing that's happened to my writing since the keyboard...

Rad thanks darlin. Yes it has been a long time but we are both busy with our jobs. Speaking of which...why the heck aren't you staying home like the good retired old man you are?! LOL kidding I have vast experience with editors since I started working at the newspaper as a political reporter. I've experienced the not so fun task of watching him tear it in half in front of me and say "That's crap start over!" Not ever fun but I can handle it. LOL

The best "rule of thumb" I ever heard concerning Category selection came from the near legendary (she's real, but sadly absent) Killer Muffin, who said, "Pick the category where your story will piss off the fewest people."

Welcome to the AH. Any friend of Tx needs all the comfort and support they can get, especially if they've already served a stretch as a political reporter.

I got your story - it's a naughty read, lots of good imagery, lovely lusty details. (Group sex and blindfolds and strap-ons, oh my!) Whoa - yummy sex.

I do think the large blocks of text need to be broken up, however. That makes it somewhat difficult to read, especially scrolling on computer. 4-6 sentences work pretty well per paragraph. And always put dialogue in a seperate paragraph.

I also noticed some referencing to measurement - breast size, dildo size, etc. It's best to avoid that. Just use a general statement - huge dildo, generous breasts.

The sex scenes are incredible, honestly. Let's open up the story a bit, make it more accessible to the average reader and you'll have them eating out of your hand.
