It has come to my attention that there have been complaints for me doing my "job" here at Lit. Some feel I am "abusing my power" here, so I wanted to bring some things to your attention.
The first being this thread created by our site owner, Laurel. New Forum! (Pay special close attention to Post #1 and Post #3 please.)
The Personals was created as a place for people to post their personal ads. A while back, Manu had to create a new board called The Playground because some "refugees" from the General Board wanted a new place to chat and hang out. For whatever reason, they chose the Personals. Some would post new threads, and some would "troll" people's ads.
This board, and therefore all sub boards under it, has gone through different Mods over the years. In fact, many of the boards on Lit have changed Mods. Maybe that means this unpaying, oftentimes thankless, job is harder than many think? All I'm saying is, there have been many threads and posts that have gone neglected here. Did you all know that in recent days and weeks I've found posts by three different minors not allowed here? It's true!
All of this said, please remember Lit is a free site full of many volunteers who help Laurel and Manu run it as smoothly as possible. Like all things in life, Lit's owners have rules they wish for their members to follow. It's really not that hard to do with as much freedom the owners give us all! Can't we follow them and have fun while online?
