So what are YOU up to this weekend? Anything special planned? Anything fun coming up for you?

Are you doing anything particular to distract you from thinking about the Litogether in Chicago? Do you even care? I know I'm really bummed about not being there, and am kinda curious to see how those of us left behind feel.

So here it is, the official non-litogether thread. Feel free to hang out and talk about anything. BUT, I don't want to see ANY posts from people there bragging about how much fun they're having. This is supposed to make those of us who aren't there feel better, not worse.

I'm not going to be there. I'm probably not even going to be here. Someone else feels like I should be sharing the Internet access. So, I'll be sitting around and sighing a lot. I may even be forced to do some chores around the house.

A  from a potentially bored good little witch.

Do you have broadband and more than one computer. Yes, and about $50 for a Linksys router, and the chores can go undone.

I'm jealous.
I wanna party.
I'm spending the weekend hangin with my mum and dad and the puss cats while the fiance treks across the Welsh hills.

I will also be sewing the skirt for my fancy dress costume - next weekend. Had to ditch the Burlesque idea and go for the 18thC bawd instead...

Anyone want a slice of birthday cake?

I won't be there, but I don't feel bad. I hope they have a blast and next week share all their antics. As for my plans, I have a story to finish for FieryJen's chain story and since it is so nice outside finally .... I do believe it is time to pull the camaro out of the garage and give it a good wash and quick (pun intended) cruise.

So nothing really exciting, just nice and relaxing after the last extremely hectic three weeks!

Dial-up and the potential for inappropriate over the shoulder peeking and kibbutzing is more than I want to deal with right now. I'll just sit here in the corner, dusting my trinkets. And just think, I'll have lots of new (to me) threads to peruse on Sunday evening.

u can network em on dial up too Ted .... it's just slow.

I'm debating whether to go to Atlantic City tomorrow, or play a new computer game I bought yesterday.

Sunday I have a poker tournament, but that's at 5:00pm. Plenty of time for gaming in the morning and afternoon :D

I so agree about being bummed......I only live a few hours from there, too.
My weekend will be spent getting the "Midnight" chain story finished, and maybe start on the Earth Day Story.
Just another day at My place. :p

A trip to the bank to sort out some stuff.......clean the car.....laundry......ironing......sorting out the conservatory so I can set out my seed trays and get the spring veggies going..........file papers......

Maybe we can find time to take a walk...or two.....

Pretty ordinary, really.

I am in Illinois, too. Maybe I can be there vaguely, vicariously, virtually. 375 or so miles. They'll be able to sense my presence, right?

I feel pretty lousy and very jealous. I was supposed to be there, but couldn't make it. Added to that, I'm only about two hours away. So...I expect to be pretty crabby all weekend. No plans to distract myself either, unless you count sitting at home watching movies by myself.

I'm in Illinois too, but can't make it. I don't feel so bad now. I'm broke and have a pukey kid, now that's a party!

Hmm...right now I'm taking a break from doing some yard work.

This weekend I'm hanging with my kidlets...birthday party on Sunday...still I'd love to be there too...I just know they are having a blast! :p

Suddenly my dust bunnies are much more appealing. Kids have been getting sick every day this week in the lunch room.

Next weekend I'm going to a Theme Park (Paramount's Great America) with the kids I help teach, but this weekend I'm going to be sitting on my butt playing video games. Specifically Final Fantasy XII, which has stolen my soul. I have to finish it and all the little side quests before I can get it back.

I should probably do some writing too.

I think I'd be brown-bagging it. I'm ignoring my dust bunnies until they get big enough to take over.

ditto this except for the distance thing.

I was planning on being there until just a couple of weeks ago when life threw a huge monkey wrench into my plans.

*sigh*

My Birthday's today :D

My husband and I are celebrating all weekend, so that means I get to be pampered--can't think of anything better to be doing than that!

Happy birthday EHawkins.

This weekend: Kid's soccer games, avoiding chores, watching some hoops and movies. Oh, and indulging in some wine.

I hope they're having a blast. If the group who made it are like most of us, they need this, they've earned it, and they'll make the group all the more interesting for having had the experience.

Don't feel badly, T-bonus. Vicarious basking can be fun, too.

We've got some friends who are supposed to come over tomorrow. Other than that, I'll probably do nothing but laundry all weekend.
