You want one. Don't lie to me, you want one. You know you do. I certainly do. I just haven't figured out------why?

My question is where are you going to fly it. The demo is done in a large open building. What's going to happen when you're flying it outside and a Santana wind comes up? It'll end up in Hawaii. :D

Are those large wooden blimp hangers still standing at the old Santa Anna Marine Air station? They were a quarter mile long, 800 ft high and 600 ft wide. The FAA tested hot air balloons in them back in the 60's to figure out the parameters for flight safety and licensing. Those would be perfect.

I kind of like the Manta Ray.

They're still there, and listed in the Historical Register. However, one is currently due to be torn down to make way for a housing tract. The other is still used by Goodyear and other blimp companies. Yeah, that would be about the only place you could count on it not blowing out to sea or up into the mountains.

That is great looking. I want one for our school lunch area - the eye in the sky is watching you. :) Beautiful piece of technology.

They should put the housing inside the hangar, if you ask me. Or not build the damn tract at all, that would be better.

Those are lovely creations! I would want it to play that tinkling music while it flew...

When I was first stationed at LTA as it was called for short, Red Hill road was dirty past the railroad tracks. There were orange groves from Red Hill south to the Lauguna Canyon Road. I hate to think of what it looks like now.

Those hangers are made of wood with Concrete Ends and retainer walls. Back in the 60's one just like them on the east coast burnt to the ground in 11 minutes. That old dry wood is nothing but tender. I don't think I would like to live there. It was bad enough working there.

Oooh! I want one of those! That's so incredibly cool!!

Imagine flying that baby over a crowd of people in a park or in a stadium? They'd be crapping in their pants thinking it was an alien from outer space. What a hoot that would be. :D

Did I mention I have a warped sense of humor? ;)

This is like the commercial where they turn the street into an under the sea adventure! That would be so fun but sooooooo impractical. No wonder you want one.

Can I put a child in it? Just so he can have a cross-country adventure that we could sell to a network.
