"Crystalis Dreadarrow! Front and center!" came the order from Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, Queen of the Undead. A meeting had been called by the leader of the Alliance, King of Stormwind, Varian Wrynn and the leader of the Horde, Warchief Vol'jin, pride of the Darkspear Trolls. It was to commence on neutral grounds -- a secret place chosen by Lorewalker Cho within Pandarian borders. The new Lich King had finally awoken and because of the corruption brought forth by the powers of the blade Frostmourne, he was once again wreaking havoc among the factions -- stealing lives for his own use. Turning many normal souls into his slaves.
"Coming, milady!" I screamed out to her, catching up at a fast pace. I dismissed my Felfire Hawk and arrived at her side. Yes, I'm Crystalis Dreadarrow. I'm -- I'm what you would call a resurrected Blood Elf. I'm the right hand of Queen Sylvanas, sort of her go-to person when a battle arises or she needs consultation. I walked a few paces behind her as we traveled through the portal to Pandaria.
Sylvanas turned to me. "Keep your senses about you. Do not trust anyone of any one faction. We may serve the Horde, but remember what they have done to us. They have forsaken us." She continued on her way as I nodded my head in agreement, following her pace. Queen Sylvanas was not one to be trifled with. She is strong and knows a great deal of war.
My story is that of a fallen hunter. I was sacrificed at the feet of my general as he was bound by the legion that follows the Lich King. There was nothing my commanding officer could do at that time.
"You will learn that with war comes bloodshed and that the lives of your pitiful soldiers are nothing but squashed insects beneath my feet. I will call forth their souls and make them my own. You will never again doubt the might of my blade!" the Lich King announced to my commanding officer before he thrust his blade Frostmourne into our bodies. We died instantly and were about to become his slaves. That was until Lady Sylvanas came to the aide of the General, Alias Crimsonfeather. She sent a powerful arrow into the Lich King that sent him backwards, breaking the spell that he was using. She turned to the General and looked down to our soulless bodies.
"Arise, in the name of Sylvanas. You will be mine to use and you will serve me well," Sylvanas Windrunner commanded. Our souls were resurrected and brought back to our lifeless bodies. I've been with Sylvanas ever since.
Back to the present moment -- we were arriving in the great hall designated for us to gather. I stood behind Lady Sylvanas as she took a seat at the table. Lorewalker Cho, a wise and brave Pandaren, took the head chair as the others arrived. That's when I noticed King Varian arrive with his right hand. I had been taught that the Alliance was a weak licentious faction, but something seemed different about his officer that was with him. He seemed to be Human, a powerful Mage at that. His hair was black as a raven's claw that showed beneath his cowl, eyes set straight ahead -- emerald colored by what I could see.
"Shall we begin?" Lorewalker Cho asked as all three leaders were seated now.
Vol'jin stood and looked to King Varian. "Yeah mon, but first, have dat Alliance welp of a king leave his pet at da door. Dat one has killed many of my soldiers."
Varian stood, anger filling his eyes as he looked to the Troll Warchief. "My Mage has done nothing of the sort, Warchief. It is best that you hold your tongue if you do not know the truth behind your accusations."
"What truth would dat be, King?"
"You know very well what that truth is! Your soldiers bombarded one of my posts and took supplies that were not theirs to begin with. Not to mention slaughtering dozens of my men. If my Mage had not been there, they would have all been murdered."
"Dere is no truth behind dat. Your Mage was simply out of his place. I---"
"Enough!" hollered Sylvanas. "This is not why we are here! We are here about the problems arising out of Northrend once more and the reach the Lich King has on Azeroth, not to mention how he has spread throughout Draenor as well. The Orcs are not taking it so easy."
Lorewalker Cho sat back in his chair as he put his hands together. "It would seem that everyone has their own opinion, but the Queen is right. We are here for a different matter. Save your bickering for a later time!"
Vol'jin and Varian sat back like spoiled brats that have just been talked down to. I chuckled to myself silently and then my glance turned back to the Human Mage "Just what could he have done wrong?" I thought to myself. Soon the meeting was adjourned for a break and everyone went to a separate area. I noticed that Varian was fuming and had sent his right hand man away. I looked to Sylvanas, "Is it possible that I may go to the bar here for refreshment, milady?"
Sylvanas nodded, to which I took my leave. I followed the Mage to the Bar and kept my distance. I wanted to talk to him, but would he even give me the light of day? He might kill me on the spot. I didn't know what was going through me right now, but I felt a liking towards him arising within my being. That's when I was spotted by him. "Oh no! I'm done for!"
