Of course their impact on music and pop culture has been tremendous, and a new generation is getting off on the massive catalog of tunes produced before their mothers were born. It all still sounds fresh and new to me, I will always love the Beatles.

What's your favorite Beatles song? (just one, please)

Do have a favorite Beatle?

Anybody here actually see the Beatles?

Eleanor Rigby.

Not really.

Nope, never saw them, I'm one of the mothers that wasn't born yet. ;)

Shit Purp...

It's very hard to pick just one you bastard.

Can't do it - got to at least pick two. Old (young) lads and newer (fighting about to break up) lads.

Old - Drive My Car
New - A Day In The Life

OK, I could list like 10 Beatles songs as favorites, but I'm going to go with "Hey Jude" as the all time fav, followed by "Day Tripper".

I guess Lennon was my favorite band member, and I'm 20, so no.

Hey, just out of curiosity, did ANYONE like those 2 New songs they released with the Anthology CD's? "Free as a Bird" and something else.

Personally, I would have left them in the archives. Pure shit.

It's not bad considering Lennon's piano and vocal weren't professionally recorded. I wished Yoko had something better to contribute. (still blaming Yoko, have I heard that before? lol)

They were broken up well before I was a teen, so television was the closest I got to seeing them live. I did see McCartney in Minneapolis about eight years ago. Two and a half hours of sing-alongs. I'm tryin' to describe tens of thousands of people singing "La, la, la, lananana, lananana....Hey Jude" Paul plays killer lead guitar, not really known for that. I was hoarse for a week after that.

Ringo is just too damn cool.

I hate myself for picking just one song,

http://home.iprimus.com.au/smarts/beat-a~1.gif"Help" it is.

I saw the Beatles!

At the Odeon in Leeds (UK) in 1964. I saw them in the Rolls Royce driving away after the Gig too.
It was great- but with Vox AC30 amps and a feeble 1960's PA, and the entire female audience screaming, I can't really clain to have heard them live.
I have played in the original Cavern too, but that's another story. If you have been there, the modern one is a replica about 100 yards from where it used to be.
If you've never been to Liverpool you have missed something!
I never met any of the Beatles, though I have recorded at Abbey Road! (I was with Rick Wakeman of "Yes")
I'm just showing off now!
Favourite Beatles song "You're Gonna Lose that Girl"
Favourite Beatles performance:- "Twist & Shout" done live

Fab Four Forever

oh it is so fucking strange ... this Beatlemania resurgence because i wrote an erotic story about the Beatles and me in 1964 during the British Invasion on North American shores ... (i hope you have had a chance to read it ... it is listed in my profile)

well anyways i just looked up the date on my puter ... and i wrote the first draft of Please Tease Me in May 2000 ... so it feels so weird ... i am so beatled out ... lol ... i read so much Beatles ... watching AHDN which I love (Help is a great movie as well - and great song too - but I think AHDN is cooler, isn't it?), and listening to their music ... which i do anyways lol ... cause i love them ...

it would be impossible for me to name a fave Beatles tune ... i know Purple dear i am soooo naughty .... a few of my faves ... Norwegian Wood ... Hey Jude ... Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds ... Please Please Me lol ..., etc., etc. oh yea Dixon i love Hide your Love Away ... John Lennon's voice is amazing ...

they are so diverse too ... whatever mood you're in ... psychedlic ... pop ... rock ... blues ... skiffle lol ... you can find a Beatles tune to fit ... :)

fave Beatle? well i love them all lol ... let's see ... Paul used to be my fave ... then George ... then i switched back to Paul again ... and i sure am missing John .... what a talent the world lost ....

and how many bands have the Beatles inspired ... it is unfucking believe, right?

yikes i have gone on and one ... i really hope you don't think i am some weirdo Beatles freak or anything ... lol ... cause i'm not ... :)

Now Bella, why would we think a thing like that?

Revolution is my favorite song and Ringo Star is just the coolest name....besides he was/is cute in a funky way.

"She Loves You"

John Lennon (before Yoko 'I never heard of The Beatles' Ono drove him into mediocrity.

Never saw them.

Close your eyes and I'll kiss you ...
