I was looking at Calvin and Hobbes cartoons, and this reminded me of our conversation the other day.

That is too funny, graceanne!! Thanks for a good chuckle. :) i snagged the comic.
We don't have a garden hose, one of the draw backs of living in a multi-family apartment building complex. We DO have a balcony though! It would swerve well for dumping unexpected bucketfulls of water down on any kids on Halloween that chose to make a nuisance of themselves. IF the management here would ALLOW for Trick-or-Treating. We have auto-locking security doors ... sought special permission to allow residents to leave them open for a few hours on Halloween night. They said no .. grr.

We're taking the kids (one is going as a witch, in a costume i sewed up from scratch ... the other is wearing another custume i made of a pink poodle skirt, complete with satin jacket like they wore in the 50's).along with the neighbors and their's .... to Trick-or-Treat over in the next town.... where there are more single family homes rather than apartment buildings.

Even as an adult .. i STILL enjoy Halloween. Glad i have kids ... i'd rather be out doing the Trick-or-Treat thing rather than staying home and passing candy out. :)

When we lived in Minnesota we went to the mall to trick or treat. It's warm, and it's safer.

We've done that before too.
The mall was very overcrowded.
Most stores gave each kid a tootsie roll ... or one piece of gum etc.
Cheapos .. but they are overwhelmed with SO MANY kids each Halloween.
i love doing the door to door thing ....
and.........
They are saying that the weather here is going to be AWESOME this Halloween night!!!!
:nana:
It was close to 70F this afternoon .... but yesterday we had our first series of light snow flurries.
Silly New England weather  ... lol ...
