I'm far from naive, so I fully expect some: exaggeration, hyperbole, evasiveness, bluffing etc. in profiles, on posts etc.
I am also well aware that there is plenty of phishing going on.
I sure hope that most other people are aware and that few are duped or hurt by it, either emotionally and/or financially.
I've had a few responses in PMs that are....umm.... "suspect"
"too good to be true"
very few substantial posts.
Posts that have info which fluctuates over years — age waxing and waning over the years.
Of course a few are VERY obvious spammers and they get reported, but what to do, what to do about those less blatant?
ex: not being strictly "cut and paste" PMs
