We already know now that gazing at a woman's breasts is healthy ("News Flash!", I believe). Now scientists have reported that cleanliness is too high in North America--anti-bacterial soaps and detergents rule the day. They say that by killing all the bacteria--good and bad--we're depriving our bodies of necessary substances (ex. vitamins) as well as weakening our immune systems. Were too clean! We should be getting our daily dose of bacteria! Time to play in the mud, to be dirty again!

My thanks to Literotica for helping us feel "dirty" again!;)

Actually, I think the beef with anitbacterial soaps is that they're not good enough. What we're doing to bacteria is the same thing we've been doing to cockroaches for decades -- making them stronger by forcing them to evolve better immune systems. So doctors are worried about super bacteria in the near future, and want half measure anti-bacterail soaps outlawed.

I always loved that sequence in The Andromeda Strain where the scientists decend into the underground lab, and to get to each level you had to be just a little bit cleaner, though, as they pointed out, there was no way to get completely clean because the human body is just too dirty.

There was something cool in an old National Geographic about microscopic creatures that live in our hair, on our skin, on our eyelashes, between our toes, etc. It was interesting to perceive the human body as one giant eco-system for a host of tiny animals, like a palm tree nesting rats, birds, squirrels and spiders. The article mentioned something called the Human Flea, which has practically been wiped out, and is much different from a Cat Flea. Human Fleas used to plague all of humanity, the rich and the poor, and became an acceptable, if itchy, way of life. Lovers, in fact, would take fleas off their mates and put them in tiny boxes which they would wear around their neck, so their lover's vermin could suckle on their own blood. Yuk.

Excuse me now, I have to go take a shower.

Yes all those scientists that are stuck in the labs today think that we are too clean well I think they need to think of more cures for the diseases we do have today instead of worrying about that we are not clean enough. DCL you are right about the human body and believe me the fact remains that there are people out there who do not care about their personal hygiene and I would rather be too clean and worry about the bacteria later.

The doctors that my husband goes too insists that we all use the anti-bacterial soaps because of his immune system and it is better in our household to be safe than sorry in
my opinion it is safer to use the anti-bacterial soaps than not. And as for the meat some of it is so scary to eat I think that they should worry more about the meats that we eat today and the different bacterias in them.Because most of them carry more bacteria than most human should consume.
