Rolling into town she looked around nothing about this town had escaped her knowing even though she had been gone for a few years. This was club territory and while most of them would be glad to see her there were those that would know that her return would be their demise. She had never been just some girl in their world nor some old lady... Baby sister to the founder she was a full member. A woman in a mans world she had proven herself by taking on in hand to hand combat some of the toughest "Monsters" this life can produce and leave them as oil stains in the dust. She accepted no quarter nor gave one knowing being the founders sister she had to prove herself eve more than any other member of the team and had done so many times over. This gained her the special standing and job description of internal problem solver. A job that she did not always like and took on the solo nomad life after a few paths in her life had gone awry. She especially clung to that Nomad life after the death of her brother with only one club member that had any true chance of knowing where she was or what she was doing when she was not in town.

Now that she was back... the question was to let any of them know that she was back or just lay low and observe the chaos and dissension. There was one of them she really wanted to see. Work and personal matters had kept her away for a while... too long and she really needed that connection again but could he keep his mouth shut without it being otherwise occupied. Then there was that bitch sister in law of hers... they either got along great out of mutual respect and her nephew or they were in venomous snipes at each other but she knew things her sister in law was afraid of her knowing.

What to do? She thought as she sat there on her bike in front of an old diner just outside of town. Long blond hair shook loose from its long confinement in the helmet. Dark eyes emotionless as she nods to a passing cop. Not the expected deputy or Sheriff... so the have not run the new guy off yet. Entertaining she thought to herself as she watched them look back at her almost confused.

Cole stepped out into the sunlight, freedom had come only a few days ago and he still found it unsettling to step out into the fresh air with tress round him and his hands free from the cuffs. He turned to watch the swing chair gently rock on the porch and smiled. The old man had probably left coffee on the stove and would be gone for a couple if hours.

Cole stepped inside and found his jacket, thrown over the chair. It filled him with hate right now but he still felt the pull of the club and the need for the family. But it had changed. His rage at the issues had sent him into prison, he regretfully had list control out in public and no amount of persuasion had swayed the sherriff to leave it as a club matter, Cole volunteered to go down, partly to get some space from the gang. Now he knew he must leave the area or risk killing a member. The old man had met him on release and they spent days arguing over Coles thinking, both getting drunk and arguing their corner. This is what made everything hard, the old man and his reasoning were one of the reasons he would consider staying.

He took his coffee and jacket, sitting on the porch, picking absent mindedly at the seams, looking over at his bike. The road would seem good right now, maybe going nomad was the answer. He'd talk to the old man again. Maybe something would help make his mind up.

Garrett got a call at the clubhouse from Momma Kate at the diner that the towns prodigal daughter was back. He told her to keep Kayla there and call his place to tell the Cole to stop in there for lunch since they had already wiped out his freezer there at the cabin and don't take no for an answer but don't tell him who was there.

As he hung up one of the other original members gave him a raised brow.

What ya up to Garrett? Lane asked from the bar.

Just making sure Cole stays busy till he is ready to walk back in here on his own.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the servers brought out a cup of coffee to Kayla as she sat there on he bike and said... on the house.
Kayla looked to the girl barely 18 if she was a day Kayla thought and saw the engagement ring on the girls finger and cringed inwardly as something like that was nearly her once till her brother save her.
Tell Momma Kate I am staying right here for a bit an I may even come in and eat in a few.
Lunch. Well they did clear out the food! Cole smiled, the old man never did have much in the shack, a few bottles and some snacks were all Cole had seen on previous visits and this time they had lived on tv dinners picked up on the way back from prison.
Cole slipped on his unmarked denim and rolled his leather waistcoat into a bundle, patch inward. He slipped the pistol into his belt and his heavy rings onto his fingers, leaving the roll of money on the old mans table. Stepping out into the sun he walked to his bike and strapped his leathers there, lunch then I leave, he told the shack.
The road was open, with his mind made up he cruised slowly to the diner, pulled into the lot and parked up. There was a bike already there, not one he recognised. That in itself felt wrong, it felt like trouble, outsiders could be being moved in but surely the old man would have said something? Cautiously he walked in and up to the counter, smiling he whispered across the counter to the server 'Is Garrett in yet?'
She was headed back out to her bike walking past the counter as she did. She had not seen him she was still trying to figure out how to go about dealing with the club and all its chaos and why that chaos even existed. Momma Kate however reached an old hand to Cole's cheek patting him like she did all her biker boys. A little firm as she normally did when they had been idiots but this time was to get him to see Kayla walk by.
He paid for lunch for you and said he would see you later at the cabin sugar.
Then once she knew he had seen Kayla she hobbled off with a puppetmaster kind of smile on her old lips that seemed to make he look much younger than her 70+ years.
There she was 'Kayla?' he turned, open mouthed for a second then smiled. 'oh my god! When did you? Why? What?' the questions streamed out until he could do no more than open his arms to her.
In truth he half expected a slap, Kayla was known to never take prisoners and Cole was falling like an outcast right now but the joy of seeing her again took over
She turned and grabbing him she quickly looked around.
Are any of the others here? I do NOT need them to know I am in town yet.
Her voice low but she could not mask how happy she was to see him.
Get to your bike and follow me.
Cole nodded, shit, what the hell is happening? He walked out, simply shrugging at Momma Kate. He followed, watching Kayla move as he walked, she hadn't lost her swagger he thought as he strode up to the bikes 'what the hell is going on?' he hissed as he mounted his bike.
I am here to deal with all the crap in club just like Mark set it up for me.to do.
She hissed back as she took off for the cabin she kept on the outskirts of the Res that sat just west of town. Racing there avoiding any place the club might see her. Once she was safely on Res land she slowed down and made her way to her cabin. Once she was there she hopped off the bike and watched him with a smile.
Its Ben a while Cole.
Cole followed, he knew the situation was bad, but Kayla showing up meant it was worse. He kept pace, watching to see if they were followed, and satisfied they hadn't been.
Cole pulled in and parked up beside her 'its been a while Cole' she said. He laughed, 'Too long Kayla. I figured you'd moved on, settled down maybe, become an old lady' he teased ' most of the guys said you'd never come back...' he paused and looked at his leathers, rolled into a bundle on his bike ' that was sorta my plan' he looked up at her. Feeling now that his world was so confused. 'its good to see you' he whispered
A snarl curled her lips at the comment of her becoming some old lady.
You know better than to ever think that and let me guess Steve and that bitch sister in law of mine Tia I bet are the ones to name a few that really hope I wouldn't come back.
She saw his leather rolled up like that and looked at him. She moved closer knowing no one other than her brother, Garrett and Cole knew about this place making it safe for them to be close. No one in the club would have ever suspected she had a heart much less that she could fall for anyone. She and Cole had always done an excellent job of hiding their relationship all this time. She smiled and reached a hand to his face biting her lip.
If I am going to do what I need to do I need you here. I also need you to keep your mouth shut about my being in town okay. I know how I have to do this and I know all the crap that Steve got the club into before Jason took the club from him and Tia. Don't go... I am back home... for how long I don't know but I don't plan on leaving any time soon.
She stood there staring into his eyes.
I've missed you.
Cole closed his eyes at her touch, it was something he never thought he would feel again, his hand moved from his side to hers. He took a deep breath, 'Steve won't be happy, and Tia will be losses if you're back' he smiled. 'but there are enough of the guys who'll be pleased to see you again.'
He gently squeezed her 'I guess they were expecting me to leave, the fights got out of hand and the new prick sheriff got a scapegoat in me. Guess I'm up for getting my club back after all' he smiled. 'God knows its good to see you, and sorry about the old lady thing, you always wanted to avoid that' he grinned.
Having her close had put the fight back in him, and the fight was what he liked.
I need you to make the appearance that you are coming out of this funk and getting your head back on straight as it were. You need to as I am sure you have done always... stand with Steve stand with my nephew. Keep an eye on his time around McKennon and the others when they are here. I will be making my presence known after I get some information from a few contacts.
Shifting her stance to bring her closer still she pulled him closer as well. She smiled deviously as she nipped at his lips.
Now business for now is done.... where were we those long pre prison three years ago.
Cole felt his breath deepen, Kayla could always do that to him. He stared at her, feeling her close in on him. 'you've always known I'll back you up.' he whispered. His hands ran to the small of her back, holding her closer, almost lifting her. 'prison was rough' he hissed and kissed her then. In all the dark days this was what he longed for and feared he would miss.
Her arms wrapped around his waist as she curled close. They had always had a connection but their relationship they had kept secret almost sacred. Three years of running hack not changed any of that she needed the family the club and she needed that connection again. Her brother had helped her to never have to end up just some old lady by making her a full club member. She knew his reasons the older club members knew his reasons. With Cole she did not have to worry about losing her place to just becoming some old lady.
She stared deep into his eyes hearing tis words about prison and snuggled closer. She hated that he had to go through that. Hated that her contacts could not stop it but did look out for him as they could. She didn't want tothink about that as she hugged him closer still.
We are here again... together... that's all that matters
She leaned a little closer and purred
Now kiss me biker boy.
Cole lifted Kayla and planted his lips firmly on hers, unable to stop himself now, his shock and pleasure at seeing her now released. He ran his tongue gently over her lips, tasting her again after too long. Gently he lowered her back to her feet, his hands moving up to her face and into her hair as he kissed her. Then slowly, panting slightly he leaned back. 'I missed you Kayla' he whispered and ran a finger down her cheek, resting it on her neck, his eyes wandering down to her body.
She smiled staring deep into his eyes one hand moving to rest over his heart.
I've missed you too Cole.
Watching his eyes travel lower she smiled and moving her arms to wriggle from her leather jacket letting it fall back onto her bike. Giving her more reason to curl against him in the soft spaghetti strap tank as her hand moved to rest over his heart. The well faded scar on her chest, that she and her brother would say no more about than a bad accident, peeking out of the right side of her shirt.
Let's go on inside.
He held her for a second, then gently stepped away, letting Kayla move to the house. Carefully he lifted both their leathers, the meaning of the garment restored to him by here mere presence.
Following Cole could feel his pulse race, life had come back to the town for him and he would damn well fight for it. As they stepped back into the house he placed the jackets on the chair and immediately reached for her, pulling Kayla close and kicking the door closed behind them. 'you gonna say sorry for leaving?' he grinned and pulled her close, his lips finding her neck, biting gently and making his feelings obvious.
Her eyes closed curling quickly into his embrace feeling his teeth and his embrace.
I... I had get out of here... I knew I couldn't ask any one to leave with me. I wanted you to go with me but...
She fell silent as she moved her hand into his hair pulling him tighter to her with a soft whimper.
'I'd have come with you' he hissed 'nobody else but you, but the club.....' he trailed off knowing she understood, they both did. Softly he stepped back half a pace, his hands moving over her, gently sliding inside her top to her stomach, feeling the bare flesh. He smiled and kneeled before her, looking up into Kaylas eyes he smiled and move closer to kiss the softness of her stomach, his lips gentle, firm and wanting
She inhaled sharp stomach muscles tensing feeling his hands on her bare stomach. Biting he lip she watched him kneeling there and then his lips on her stomach she tensed again as she watched him. Her hands moving to caress his cheeks and shoulders... fingertips slithering trough his hair as she almost whimpered at his tenderness and the intensity of unspoken want and desire between them.
Softly he pushed himself closer to her, his tongue tracing lines over her skin. 'You ever get sick of stealing these moments?' he whispered as his hands ran up the backs of her legs, gently squeezing her buttocks. Then slowly moving round to her stomach and up inside her top, gently running his rough hands over her delicate skin, finding her breasts. He looked up smiling, his body achingly close to hers
No do you? In time everything will be better and easier but till then our time like this... is sanity peace and paradise.
She shifted a little and caressed her leg against his side as one hand moved to rest over his hand. Her shirt between her hand and his at her breast.
'never' he grinned and knelt up, his mouth kissing slowly up her body. Then gently he stood, his hands lifting her top from her, and discarding it as his lips locked onto hers. This time there was less gentleness to his kiss, his passion coming to the fore as his tongue pressed at her.
Coles hands moved around Kayla and he lifted her from the floor, carting her into the back room. The matress was across the floor and he lowered them onto it, holding his body slightly away from hers.
