For Future Argumentation Purposes

... You seem very stressed out Lav... are you okay? Really; it's just a bulletin board. Not everybody knows what they are talking about, and not everybody is ever going to know everything they talk about.

Just take a deep breath; it's okay.

No. I read too much of the news today. It got to me. Then I read things that people actually believe. I think this summer I had just been so focused on work stuff that I forgot how sad the state of affairs of humanity is. I know that sounds melodramatic, but it's true.

I wish I could just become complacent. I wish I could just become a cynic. I wish I just didn't care. But, I do care.

It's a curse.

Well, then good. At least you realize that the world deserves better; most people can't get past "I deserve."

I think the solution to your problem is to focus on what you can change and not on what you can't. It might be a bit nieve of me, but I see pain as a virus; it spreads from one person to the next infecting each of us. Every person who chooses not to contribute to the pain of others starves the virus, and it dies a little. The best you, or any of us, can do is to choose not to contribute.

THANK YOU!

I, too, am tired of seeing it misrepresented.

Most people don't mention that the coffee melted her genitals.

wow, was it PV? she should get in here and tell us about it!

What a bizarre and unasked for defense of a notoriously ludicrous court case.

I assume your ire arises from the fact that this ridiculous settlement has entered the common vernacular as the perfect example of the stupidity and incomprehensibility of the American court system.

Stupid and incomprehensible to us little people, that is, who are occasionally caught up in its mad wake. I could be wrong, but I think the general consensus is that the legal profession, the insurance industry, and payroll taxes are just a bunch of bullshit trickery rich people use to steal even more money from us poor. Just like stock options, 401k plans, Worldcom, bills from Enron, and the rest of it.

Here's coffee on your lap.

Congrats on recent Graduation

You sound real enthusiastic. I'm sure it won't take long to be hired by a law firm so you can put your new paralegal skills to use.
Yes, I'm afraid it is that obvious.
Don't worry though, most senior partners are old and senile or brain dead from reimbersment for defending drug dealing scum.
