Yes, it's by Mark Knopfler, as is the rest of the soundtrack. My favorite instrumental piece from that is 'I will never love again.'

Does anyone else own the Matrix soundtrack? My favorite insturmental piece from that is "Clubbed to Death." But "Ultrasonic Sound" is good too, if that can be considered intsturmental. And the best thing about it, is that not one of the songs has "love" in the title.
