Erylis paced the floor of her home. Her heat had just begun and it made her antsy as with most female werewolves. It took all her will not to change into her wolf form. She was an Omega. A loner in her own right but meant to breed. Nature had a funny way of sneaking up on her during this time.

Her older brother was an Alpha. Clayton took over the pack two years ago when their father had died. Erylis had only been eighteen at the time. He was a good leader. Respected throughout the colony. He ruled with a strong arm, but not so strong to make the rest of the pack want to mutiny. She love to see how he handled the problems of the pack with a regal grace.

Her older sister was born a Beta and already pair bonded. Saige was kind. Only a year older, but knew her place in the pack and in her pair bond. She seemed happy in it for she was able to choose one of the five suitable Alphas in which their father had chosen for her.

Erylis had been born Omega. Never one to be directly involved in pack politics, but still a member. Her heart desired to stay free, and truly her own. Even her brother and his nature as an alpha had no effect on her. She had watched as other Betas and even other alphas bows to his will at even the slightest growl. She remained free of that control, but still respected him.

Determine to stay free and find her way as much on her own as possible, Erylis lived on the outskirts of the pack. The town was small, but large enough to be intimidating to other packs out there. She herself had found a cave, isolated from the world, and she made it her own. It was large enough for her be comfortable, and Clayton made sure she had everything she needed to stay comfortable and safe.

She remembered how on the day she declared to him she was moving from the pack central, away from all the males that were determined to mate her during her next heat, he arranged to bring what she needed himself. It was just them and Saige working to make the cave a home. In his old pick up truck, he had brought a large bed, dressers and everything to make a nice bedroom. He had one of his most trusted Betas secretly run Electricity out so she would have lighting and heat. Saige has spent the day seeking out all the cobwebs and clearing evidence of other critter from her dwelling.

Clayton brought bookshelves and lamps to keep her busy and let her learn. Erylis loved to learn and read. He even added a few new ones to her already large collection. At the time is was a nice start. A nice place to be alone and independent.

Since then the dwelling had become so much more. Clayton and Saige would bring more and more out to her. One day he showed up with flooring and rugs. Another time a stove and an icebox. Her favorite visit is when him and Saige came by and helped her close off the front of the cave and install a door to keep out the cold as well as the intruders.

Every week Clayton or one of his trusted associates would stop by with supplies, food and toiletries. They also would haul the trash and other things for her. He knew when her heat would flare and only he would stop by on those occasions.

Erylis now sat in her comfy little home. Her body wrecked with need and desires she had never experienced. Many females would just have a male rut them though their heat, just to east the agony of it. She had no desire to be one of them. Her body was telling her she needed to taken, trying to change into the silvery grey wolf that was her other half, but she kept her mind busy with human tasks. Clean things, wash floors. It was all she could do to change. Once changed she would never be able to control her desires and she did not trust her wolf form to not act without her.

Brock drove his 4 by 4 up the long and winding path. “Take supplies out to my sister in her home.” Clayton’s instructions had seemed innocent enough, however something didn’t sit right with Brock. Maybe it was just his unease about being new to the pack, having just survived an attack a few months before. However it seemed to be more than just that to Brock. Was it—the fact that he hadn’t known that Clayton had a sister?

He pulled the truck to a stop and got out, the___14 gravel popping under the weight of his boots. Then again, his unease could have to do with the parting word he had provided to Brock. “She is a gentle soul. I think she would be a good influence on you. It was somewhat common knowledge that Brock had some time mastering the different aspects of having a wolf as a part of his being now. He sometimes won the struggle; sometimes his wolf got the better of him. Erylis was said to be omega. The Omega had a strange ability to sooth the beast inside even the toughest alphas—with one exception—during their heat cycles.

Had Clayton known that it was that time of the year for his sister, he never would have sent Brock. “However he was busy of late with the newest batch of new recruits and so called for the nearest alpha to go to his sister. The last thing he had said was “See if she can help you.” Brock could hear the sadness and regret in Clayton’s voice. He knew the rules, he knew any werewolf who could not learn to fully control his beast after a year was put down by the pack leader, and Brock’s time was almost up. He knew he would not fault Clayton for what he needed to do, however he had no desire to die.

He pulled several bags of supplies and went to the door, such a strange door, set into the hillside as it was. He lifted his free hand and knocked.

Her focus shifted as a strong knock sounded at the door. The room had become a blur and the lights were becoming too bright. She was glad that this only happened a few times a year or she would probably hate her entire existence.

"Clayton?!" she called out. The thought of visiting with her brother distracted her from her symptoms. A soft silver grey fur had already begun to develop along her spin and shoulders. She had tried to hold it back, tried to stay as human as possible. Her teeth had sharpened as well. Her wolf was trying to emerge and a bit of fur and teeth were the least of her worries. She was glad nothing else was changing at the moment. She knew that Clayton would tease her about it relentlessly like he did every time he saw he get like this.

She remembered the last time. "You know little sis" He said "You could just let me pick out an alpha to rut you though this." the comment had resulted in angering her into full wolf form. Her hackles stood on end and a growl rose in her throat. She was so furious with him she had bit him hard. Clayton threw he back and ran out. He locked the door behind him

The next morning she awoke on the floor in the middle of her home. The place was trashed. Books were strewn about the room. The supplies Clayton had brought were thrown around the room. She tried to leave though the door, only to find it locked from the outside. Clayton lay sleeping on the ground with his back up against the door.

It was not one of her prouder moments.

Now she made her way to the very same door. She took her time. She tried to shake the fur back, but it was no use. Erylis shrugged her shoulders. It as only her brother so it was no problem that a little of the wolf was showing. She passed by a small mirror that was next to the door. She peered in to see the outcome. "Shit," She exclaimed. Her eyes had changed from a deep brown to the silvery blue of her wolf form.

She called out "Ok Clayton, Not a word from you." Slowly she turned the handle and opened the door. She stopped as the scent of him hit her. It hit her before she even saw him. It was not Clayton who stood at the door, but another Alpha. One she had never seen before. Her body reacted in a way it never had before. She had never been in the presence of another male during her heat. She felt the slick build between her legs and her skin tingle. Quickly she tried to get the door closed before her nature conquered her mind
