It is that time of year again and I am planning on going to my local Ren fair. I know there was another Ren fair thread, or two , around here earlier, but I am going to be posting photos I've found, to show Angel, whom I'll be making a dress for in the future.

I will also be taking my camera with me to the Blissfield Fair and will have more down the road.

They start on on the 17th & 18th with the Italian Carnival and then the next weekend is the Highland Fling. I really want to go to both, but I think we may only get to go to one.

Okay, well, here I go.
These are the wings I want.

I have this light green, white plaid seersucker fabric (like four yards pre washed) that has a sort of metallic gold fleck in the weave and I bought an even more pale green chintz that is really crinkled like gauze and I think a these wings would be perfect.

Whats this? Fake sheep for the sheep toss event at the Highland Fling. You cannae toss fake sheep they dinnae hae the same bounce as reel ane's!
What you need is a good tup, who's all rilled up and ready to kick it off wie a Highland coo, then your in wie a chance oh winnin!

You know, I'd love to go to a ren fair, there are two problems with that though:
1. I don't know anyone to go with.
2. I'm the type of person people go to ren fairs to avoid.

Oh, hey. These aren't mine. They are off of the net. I should have made that more clear. Angel wants a dress, and I am going to make it for her, but I don't sew as much as I used to. I am more into painting now. However, some of the dresses I've made blow these out of the water. I just like these styles.

I don't wear outfits (besides, what the hell kind of outfit would I wear?). I don't drink. I have no interest in cod pieces.

I am the type of person ren fair people want to not be around.

We go to the Renaissance Festival every year. I don't dress up but I love all those clothes.

I hope to have a Faire wedding next year, if I can ever decide on the dress. I would love to see pictures of the outfits you make. Our next faire isn't until the end of September & depending on what the doctor says, I may not be able to go. I wish I did.

I made my sister in laws wedding gown and it was ren style. It turned out amazing, but I still don't have a pic of it. I'll make my mom scan one and send it to me.

I have done a lot of applique work, and it isn't really all medieval or antything rennish. They are kind of more hippyish, but very detailed.

An Ex of mine once dressed up as Nell Gwyn for a charity event and was rather busty herself so filled the bodice nicely. She pinched my room key that night and dropped it down her cleavage.
Lets just say I gladly donated a lot to charity!!!

Never, I don't drink. I rarely dress up for these things, and if I do, I am stoned, not drunk.
