Determine whether there exists any values of x in the interval [0,2pi) such that the rate of change of f(x) = sec x and the rate of change of g(x) = csc x are equal.

I already did this one, so there.

KM, some of us finished with all that years ago. I could no more do calculus now than I could discuss the Corn Laws of 1833!

Ugh. I don't think I could ever be that bored.

Yes

There are two distinct values of x in the interval [0,2pi) such that d/dx sec x = d/dx csc x

Want me to give them?

It's a symmetry question not a calculus question ;-)

Yep, I am with you on this one.

Cool, someone else who's A) not ignorant about maths and B) not proud of the fact they're ignorant about maths. Pride of ignorance counts as being stupid in my little book of things that get on my (man)tits.

since you offered it as a gift i'll accept it. but i would have much rather had a puppy. or chocolate.

But I did have to checkout the graphs of the respective functions because it has been so long since I have done something line this.

:D Muffie loves math. Muffie loves to share. Muffie loves Lit'ers so Muffie shares what the loves with Lit'ers!

I find math to be incredibly soothing and peaceful. Calculus is like zen yoga without throwing your back out. Life is messy; math is clean. Unless you're my GTA, well, I'm sorry about that. I get carried away.

I was never very good with numbers, so I find it amazing that someone can see it as soothing.......I am amused:)

I can see that part. Good point.

I, like, thought that the gift would be that you acknowledged one of my posts...
