Ok, the real season starts Saturday. Go out on a limb and make some predictions. Here are the games:

Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins
St.Louis Rams at New Orleans Saints
Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles

My choices are a home sweep for all four teams.

I will even take it a step further

Indy vs St Louis in Super Bowl

Colts beat the Fish
Saints pummel the Rams (with ref's help)
Broncs barely beat Ravens (who set a new record for post-season penalties)
and Bucs and Eagles play into so many overtimes that everyone looses interest and goes home leaving an empty bracket next week.

But then again,

I could be wrong!

All I know about it is that the Giants will beat Tennessee in the big one. Unless Dante Culpepper has a miraculous recovery. Then all bets are off!

Okay I will take the Florida Gator in a 10 round desicion over the Miami Hurricanes.. In case you missed it, it appears that these two team were mixing it up down on Burbon Street before the Sugar Bowl.. That must have been fun for the cops, seperating two or three 280+ linemen..

I got 3 out of 4 right last week! Of course the only one I missed was the only game I had money on, go figure. Congrats to Tony for nailing all 4!

For the big game, I think the Raiders will beat the Saints.

Well...okay

Logically, I know that my predictions are not the odds on favorites, but The Dolphins have been my #1 team all my life (it is largely believed that my mother gave birth to me in 1972 just to coincide with the perfect season). And, oddly enough, the Saints have always been my #2 team. I guess something about that iconoclast notion of always rooting for the underdog...

For the first time I can ever remember BOTH my teams have made it past the first round of the playoffs...so, although it would be heartbreaking to have to choose, I am going to pander to my giddy delusions and say Miami and Nawlins with the Fish winning it all (oh, Marino, Marino, wherefor art thou Marino?)

I did pretty good in the big bowl games........picked Univ of SC over Ohio State, VA Tech over Clemson, Michigan over Auburn, Miami over Florida and last but not least Oklahoma over Florida State.....now if I had just put money on those games, I could be rich.

The NFL Games should be good this week. Interesting to see if the majority of us are right with New Orleans and the Titans.......
