Followup to an incest story where I might have a problem.

I'm writing a sequel to sapphic incest story I published here.

When I first decided to do an Incest/Taboo story, I wanted to make it realistic and believable. I had my main character be reluctant and apprehensive about an increasing sexual attraction to the female members of her family, and I ended the story with, as one commenter put it, "orgasmic bliss."

As part of that 'realism' I was going for, I threw in Uncle Harry, who is well-aware of the rampant incest that goes on between the women, takes no part in any incest, wants nothing to do with incest, and spends his life struggling to accept and understand a reality where he is married to a woman who is not only fucking his daughter, but his sister-in-law and his niece.

The idea is that Uncle Harry's feelings regarding the situation change from day to day. One morning he'll wake up and be fine with what goes on. Other times he wonders how he landed himself in this clusterfuck of a situation. It's how I envisioned a "real" person would react if they found out their neighbors, their friends or family were giving and receiving orgasms from blood-relatives.

One anon response said that the story's sex was hot, but Uncle Harry pretty much killed the erotic mood by casting a depressing shadow on the whole work.

Now it's followup time, and the incestuous lesbian shenanigans are gonna be cranked up louder for this round. On the one hand, I'm glad I've got Uncle Harry, the innocent bystander in the midst of the chaos, quietly sipping his beer and shaking his head. On the other hand, I feel really bad for this poor guy. I don't want to cop out and have Uncle Harry end up going against my original intentions by sticking his dick somewhere in the sweaty female orgy. I don't want to kill him off or ret-con him out either. At the same time, I'd like to do something nice for him, something that still says "Uncle Harry doesn't play this way" while not making him a throwaway character and a drag.

I have some vague ideas, but for the time being I'm rather stuck.

Well seeing this is lit and an incest story it is obvious the incest will continue.

Uncle Harry kind of has to be a throw away at this point. A reader will only deal with so much of a character sitting around wondering how this all happened.

Short of having harry watch some of the incest through a window and realize it does kind of turn him on and have him become a sort of Taboo voyeur then he will only be a distraction.

I'm new here and I have a question The rule as I read it says no one under the age of 18 It would seem kind of a stretch for every person involved with incest to be 18 or over. I assume that's the way it has to be.

I ran into a situation at another site with a story I wrote about two kids who became friends at the age of four and went on to grow up experiencing their sexual awakening together and ultimately having sex until they were adults. I was told that although it was a great idea any talk of underage kids having sex is forbidden.

Is that the bottom line?

One possibility could be to have him become an enabler for a new family member, someone who he knows is missing something in his/her life, who is susceptible without knowing it, and who would benefit emotionally from being involved. The uncle therefore sees value even though he doesn't understand or wish to participate. It would be neat if nobody knows he enabled the new entry.

So this is what I'm thinking. There's a (no-sex) conversation between Uncle Harry and the main character's best friend, whom she's brought over for the first week of summer break and introduced to the wacky lesbian orgy. Uncle Harry vents out his issues to this girl who happens to be a rising Sophomore psychology major, which ends up making him feel a little better but at the same time, something he says inadvertently makes the girl realize she's got repressed lusty wrong feelings toward her own mother and sisters.

The mother and sisters drop by for a visit at the end. A massive incestuous orgy ensues.

Uncle Harry, pseudo-liberated through armchair therapy, ultimately decides not to divorce his wife but decides to take a little vacation to finish clearing his head. That's the last thing we see.

And that's pretty much all I'm going to do with Uncle Harry, I think. He's not entirely happy, but he's riding off into the sunset with a somewhat warmer conclusion.

Originally I was going to have the main character's horny-as-hell cousin make that suggestion. But Uncle Harry doing it would be much better; it gives him a greater purpose.

It's not really a stretch, per se. The adult characters (18 and over) realize they have a sexual attraction to another adult family member or members and it goes from there. If it's your standard one-pager, a sister or brother might stroll out of the bathroom and catch his/her sibling jacking/frigging themselves off, leading to a spontaneous "hey, let's fuck," situation.

It works. There doesn't have to be a history of incest that was going on before age 18. The "incest at 18+" depiction is believable enough to get favorites and positive votes. No one will question it. If the story drifts into a red zone, Laurel rejects it.

What a lot of people don't realize is that 18 is still pretty fucking young, and a believable age to be naive and inexperienced. 18 is the youngest age the law allows for porn but when you really think about it, an 18-year-old is still a kid; they've just crossed a line where they can legally be sexually depicted in an adult work.

To answer your other question, my understanding of Lit's golden rule is this: no one under 18 can engage in sexual intercourse, masturbate, watch anyone else have sex, entertain sexual thoughts, or talk about sex. Minors cannot have sex with adults or other minors. There can be minor characters in the story, but they cannot in any way be involved, directly or indirectly, in any sex.

Of course these aren't worlds where 18-year-olds are spawned from pods or grown in labs. We all know that adults were once children and teens, just as we all know that sexual activity doesn't just magically start once the Holy Border of Legal has been stepped over. But for the purposes of this site, there cannot be any scene of your characters experiencing sexual awakenings as children. I've been told on this board that you can mention something like a character having lost their virginity at 16 or so, so long as it isn't described in explicit detail. That's something I'm not willing to risk either. I ignore those types of background details and start off in college, at the earliest.

Tldr summary: keep the kids out of the bedroom in every way. Find a way to make your stories work without getting them rejected.
