A young woman walked quickly across a lawn of green grass, almost lost in a sea of people as she made her way to a large brick building, vines covering one side that almost reached the roof. One hand held onto her backpack strap while the other rest comfortable in her pockets. Clear blue eyes looked back and forth at everyone she saw, but she never stopped to talk. It wasn't that this girl wasn't friendly... she was just new. And being new in a strange world presented its challenges. But for now she decided that she would get through the day without any trouble.

"Thank you." she said with a polite smile as she made her way inside, someone having held the door open as she ran up the steps. Inside she found herself faced with even more people that were outside, everyone moving so fast as they moved from one room the other. Scratching her head Kara pulled out the schedule she had in her pocket, unfolding the paper and reading off where she was supposed to go first. She wandered aimlessly for a moment before she found her way to Room 213.

Sitting at a desk near the front of the room was, what she guessed to be, her professor. Grey hair adorned his head, a bushy mustache, and dark eyes. He was dressed in an old suit and looked at a stack of papers with his reading glasses on. A crumpled piece of paper flew by her head, but Kara didn't flinch. She moved up the desk and tapped the old man on the shoulder.

"Um, excuse me." she said, her voice low so as not to be too rude or pushy.

"Hmm? Yes what is it? Oh! Yes, hrm. You must be the new student. Very good." he said, his eyes warming up and causing Kara to feel a bit more relaxed. The professor stood onto his feet and coughed loudly.

"Uh students. Now, calm down. We have a new student with us this year. Her name is uh, now what did you say your name was?" he asked and Kara felt some color rise to her cheeks. She had expected to just take a seat, not draw the attention of the entire class.

"It's Kara, sir." she said, shuffling her feet.

"This is uh, Kara. Now I want you all to treat her with respect. She received perfect scores on all her entry exams so you could probably learn a thing or two from her. Uh You may take a seat, Kara. Pick any that you like."

"Thank you." she said and then looked for an empty seat. Most of the students had resumed their talking, the professor returned to his studies and practically buried his nose in the books. There was a seat open in the third row of seats, so stepping over some fallen books and bags she made her way to it and sat down quickly. Brushing aside some of her blond hair, Kara looked at the kids that she sat next to, each and every one of them looking at her like she was an alien. The males, of course, had eyed her good looks but were quickly distracted by other things in the room. It would be a long day, she thought to herself with a sigh.

Frank had seen the new arrival with mounting interest. Though he was unsure of just what kind of girl she was there was no denying her figure, his dark blue eyes had discovered that from the get go.

Frank was used to the scene at the school, the chaos really not bothering him. He'd do his time, get the grades with relative ease whether or not he'd die of boredom was another thing. Though this new arrival had piqued his interest. Running a hand through his jet black hair he'd nodded at her, "Morning." He said giving her a warm and yet knowing smile.
