Do you always assume the same character when in girly mode or do you prefer to be fluid in terms of which character or role you assume?

Thanks for the replies. In terms of roles I was more interested in the characters you play than the submissive/dominant dichotomy.

In terms of the characters I play, for me its a little more complicated. As I work as a performer en-femme, as well as for my own pleasure, I would say that my characters are certainly different, often cute, sexy to look at, but always strong, not neccesarily dominant, some are but, never am I the simpering sissy. I am not knocking those who relish that, its just not for me. The characters I become include a 20s flapper IT girl, a full on seductive Jessica Rabbit type, the Elizabeth Taylor glam, The Audrey Hepburn sweet, and the leather or pvc clad mistress with whip in hand.
However in 35 or more years of dressing, I never felt sexy or hot when I look in the mirror, dressing doesn't turn me on, but I do enjoy the reaction to me from those that I am with. And its their reaction that does turn me on.
With the work I do, I am always looking at how I dress from a technical, or artistic viewpoint, it all has to work down to the smallest accessories, how in looks under various lights, how it looks on film when I do a movie, I know my view is rather unusual and possibly unique. I am happy but I am so fussy too
