Tatelou mentioned in an earlier post how frustrating it is to have a good train of thought going (ok in my case train is an exageration) and then it suddenly stops. I would like to share a couple of tips that work for me if no one minds.
First the simplest Just stop... Let it go for a moment. Turn away entirely go get some thing to drink or have a smoke. This allows your sub-concious to take over the problem.
Second Meditate ( not really a surprise coming from me, huh) This puts you mind in a a calmer more tranquil "space" and afterwords allows you to work in a more relaxed way.
Thirdly A six pound sledge applied in a physical manner to the offending keyboard, which allows you too use the calmer and more peaceful state produced by meditation to effectivly plot the angle of swing most likely cause the the greatest amount of havoc and produce the least amount of flying debris to be cleaned up later.

I've used all three methods, works wonders. I need to get back to number two, my chi is out of whack. Maybe I need some Chai.

Sometimes if a train stops, I just skip ahead to the next station. By that, I mean, I know what is going to happen next, so I start there and fill in the blank after the train gets back on track again.

Thanks for that, Darktouch. :)

Although, the intention of that initial post was to start up that thread and hope it went in exactly the way it is going (thanks, Joe, for realising that straight away - glad you came along when you did. ;) ), I have been suffering a little from a blockage of flow recently.

Your suggestions are pretty sound - apart from the "have a smoke" I gave up six weeks ago and am still missing it like hell! :(

Never tried meditation, but the sledge hammer greatly appeals. :D

It will return, I've just been spending too much time pissing about lately.

Oh well, it is the Easter holidays. :)

Loulou, I meant to tell you I printed your AV, framed it real nice and hung it in my bunny's cage. He's in love of course and won't stop humping my wrist.

Perdita ;)

Lou, you should try Tai chi and Chai tea, both very relaxing. Helps me connect with my inner spirit of peace and not the normal one that wants to shake the shit out of everyone.
Deep cleansing breath Abs, go to your happy place......
