Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said the new civic education program was pushing back on the "woke indoctrination" of children. ...

Lol, teachers bitching about having to be trained so that when they stand up in the front of the class they're qualified to do their jobs.

Yeah, only from the leftists could you get that sort of stupidity.

LOL! Which Florida teacher isn’t qualified to teach?

Why are you asking ME? I'm not a Florida resident and I don't really care if Florida requires their teachers to be current in civics as part of their teaching certification and ongoing continuing education.

I'm only saying that teachers bitching about having to undergo continuing education (ie; go to school) as part of their job requirements, is kind of hilarious. Especially when you consider all of the woke education that's been foisted off on the rest of us over the past couple of years.

Not that you'd understand any of that since I didn't use small words of less than 3 letters or create sentences less than 4 words long.

I’m asking you because you made the statement. If you didn’t care you probably wouldn’t have posted and now that you realize you said something ignorant you’re trying to change the topic and resorting to personal insults.

No one is upset about training. People are upset that the government is trying to push an agenda, indoctrinate kids into a religion, and whitewash history.

See, I knew you wouldn't understand it.

Forcing teachers to teach a one sided subject is about as american you can get.

America hates teachers and they hate them teaching the truth because it may upset some children.

Unlike blue states, Florida apparently desires their history teachers to understand actual American history if they are going to teach it. Things like the first colleges and universities founded in the nation were started by clergy. Things like the Ten Commandments engraved on the wall opposite the Justices on the SCOTUS, the symbolism and thinking behind The Apotheosis of Washington on the dome of the Capitol Building, or the official sentiment behind "In God We Trust" on our coins, or why since 1789 each and every session of the House of the Representatives is opened with a religious prayer. I doubt very seriously if any of this knowledge is taught in grades K through 12. Yet they are all true and worthy of scholarly examination.

I’ll suggest one change. Americans who are racist and ignorant don’t want their kids to recognize their racism and ignorance.

Might want to read the Constitution.

Yes, but those people don't view you as an american. To them being american means hating fags and white washing history,

The Founding Fathers would have come across as shockingly irreligious by the standards of modern Republicans. I doubt the Tallahassee Mussolini is going to want anything taught about that.
